Girls Night In Tips

Today I'm going to be giving advice on how to have the best girls night in ever and I'll be giving you some tips and ideas. Obviously you could have a girls night in anytime of the year but they're really cool to have in the autumn as it's cold outside and who likes the cold? (I know lots of people do but I don't!)

As soon as your guests arrive get them to drop their phone into a bucket and then they're no allowed to use it the whole night apart from emergencies. These means you will actually be spending quailty time together and the whole world doesn't need 1000 snapchats/Instagrams from your night in.

Or on a completely different level you could ban any electronics however this means you won't be able to watch films or listen to music but what you will get out of it is a stronger friendship and loads of lol's.

Before the sleepover/night in why don't you get some matching pyjamas for all of your guests because in photos it will look super Tumblr and everyone will be like goals. A cheap place to buy these pyjamas is Primark and they do some really cute ones for good prices.

Make sure you have loads of sweets/popcorn/drinks because you don't want your guests to starve and a night in is the perfect night just to binge and not really care about what you eat. Make sure you get food and drink that you know your guests like and have plenty of it.

Also plan what movies you want to watch beforehand because arguing at a sleepover will not be fun and you're going to enjoy it and it will be awkward for the rest of the time. Plan a list of movies everyone wants to watch and check before you actually have it or it's on Netflix because you don't want to spoil everyone's excitement.

A fun activity to do is to have an at home spa. Have some face masks (with cucumber) and nail polish at hand so you can all do each other facials, manicures and pedicures. This is also something fun to do if you are having a no electronics night.

Lastly another activity to do that doesn't use any electronics is play a board game. Okay this might cause some arguments but if you put a spin on it, it will turn out more fun and everyone's going to be laughing not arguing. If you are using electronics you can play on your xbox/playstation.

They are my tips on how to have a great girls night in and if you are going to be having one anytime soon I hope it's really fun and let me know on Twitter (@_louisecarter_) if you used any of my tips.

How To Style An Outfit In Autumn

I love autumn and the fashion it produces so I wanted to do a guide on how to style an outfit in autumn because it can be hard to find a cute outfit especially if you're wearing a massive coat but there's still ways you can be ultra stylish.

Last year I started wearing leather jackets over my jumpers for added warmth and it looked super cute at the same time. It's also a good reason to show off any cute jumpers you might have so people can see them and they're not stuck behind a coat. I wouldn't wear my leather jacket how it's in the picture as I would properly wear it.

No one wants to have cold feet but sometimes it's not appropriate (and comfortable) to wear cosy socks so that's why wear them with boots and have them sticking up onto your leggings and tights and it looks so cute and really Tumblr.

Hat's can really make an outfit and shops now have some really cute winter hats that will give you that super cute look and also like the girls on Tumblr (as you can tell I do get a lot of my autumn fashion inspiration from Tumblr)

In the autumn I never like to use colourful bags and I like to use black ones because they go with all of the colours that I'm wearing and in the summer I'll be wearing and using colourful bags so it's nice to go back to plain. I also like to have a shoulder strap on my bag in autumn as I find it easier to use that way.

This would be an ideal outfit for me in the autumn as I love wearing skater skirts with tights, boots and jumpers. If I was wearing this I would also add a leather jacket because it would look really nice and I love my leather jacket and I will wear it any occasion I can.

Lastly I would recommend you invest in a good coat that will last you for a couple of years. Last year I got a parka from Next, which was £80, so I'm sure that will last me for quite a while and it's super warm and cosy.

That was how I would personally style an outfit in the autumn months but everyone does have their own fashion tastes so it's whatever floats your boat. Thanks for reading and do come back as I'll have more autumn posts.

How To Spend Halloween Without Trick Or Treating

In my whole 14 (nearly 15!) years of life I have never gone trick or treating so I thought I would do a guide on how to spend Halloween without trick or treating so you still get to be part of the fun Halloween has to offer.

Source
1. Invite your friends over for a night in and even if you're not planning to go out you can still dress up and you could host a competition for who has the best costume or another idea is having a fashion show as the people/things you dressed up as. Like this group of friends you could all have a theme (like social media) and each dress up as something different.

2. Before all of your guests arrive make a fort out of blankets and make it be really comfy and this will be where you will spend your night (not sleeping though). Make sure you have a TV or laptop or somewhere to watch the scary movies because you need to have a Halloween scary movie marathon.

3. On the subject of scary movies, why don't you tell some scary stories? If you're someone like me who doesn't know any scary stories but you want to be part of telling the stories, read some online before you go and you could either tell the truth or lie that whatever the story is happened to you.

4. Halloween is all about the sweets (well for me it is) so buy a pack of the sweets that they offer at Halloween and supermarkets always have great deals on them so buy a pack and set them up in a bowl. However don't answer the door so trick or treaters don't steal all of your sweets.

5. Halloween baking is something you could do with all of your friends round and have a laugh or you could do it a couple of days before and impress all of your guests when they come round. On the link above there is the link to the Betty Crocker website which has some really cool Halloween baking ideas.

That was my first autumn post of the year! I'm very sorry for starting a bit late it's just that I had some other posts I wanted to get done and after these posts will be Christmas themed posts so get excited for that!
Happy Halloween!
