My Summer Playlist | 2016

I haven't done a whole playlist post for a while now so I thought I would do a summer playlist with all of the songs for the summer that I'm loving. My friend Cerys and I were discussing how there hasn't been that many good songs recently and I noticed this last year that's there good songs in Spring and Autumn/Winter but not Summer so this playlist will feature songs from other years which I think are good for summer.

This Is What You Came For- Calvin Harris ft. Rihanna
'But she's looking at you oh oh, you oh oh'

Can't Stop The Feeling- Justin Timberlake
'I can't stop the feeling, So just dance, dance, dance'

Girls Like- Tinie Tempah ft. Zara Larsson
'Tell J.K. that I'm still rolling, yeah tell Russell I'm a brand'

Black Magic- Little Mix
'I got the recipe, and it's called black magic'

Drag Me Down- One Direction
'With your love nobody can drag me down'

Problem- Ariana Grande ft. Izzy Azalea
'I got one less, one less problem'

Bang Bang- Jessie J ft. Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj
'Bang Bang into the room, I know ya want it bang bang all over you'

I Love It- Icona Pop
'I don't care I love it'

Burn- Ellie Goulding
'We gonna let it burn, burn, burn, burn'

On My Mind- Ellie Goulding
'Why I got you on my mind'

Don't Be So Hard On Yourself- Jess Glynne
'I came here with a broken heart that no one else could see'

Waiting All Night- Rudimental ft. Ella Eyre
'I've been waiting all night for you to tell me what you want, tell me, tell me that you need me'

That was my summer playlist which I will be listening to. Obviously I'll probably add more songs because there isn't really that many at the moment so I need to get listening to songs to know whether to include them in this playlist or not. If anyone is wondering my Spotify is 'louisesprinkles'

♪ My Current Playlist ♪

You guys probably know my love of music so I'm always listening to some and today I thought I would share with you my favourite songs. To be honest I haven't really been listening to a lot of new songs but this is called My Current Playlist so I need to share with you what I actually have been listening to.

  Little Mix
I have been listening to way too much Little Mix recently from all three of their amazing albums. At night I've been listening to Little Mix which is weird to say but during the day if I'm listening to music it will be Capital so I'm up to date with all the current tunes! (such a cringe-worthy sentence)
My favourite songs-
Secret Love Song ft. Jason Derulo- I love this song so much! I do also love part 2 which is on their deluxe version Get Weird but I listen to the single version more as it was released as the 3rd single from Get Weird so it's played a lot on Capital but I'm not complaining.
Lightning- This is another single from Get Weird that I love. I heard it when I was doing my first listen to Get Weird, thought it was ok but then I heard YouTubers LucyAndLydia mention it in a favourites and then I loved it.
Move- Now we're moving onto the more 'older' songs. Move has been a favourite of mine when it was released back in 2013 and I've been listening to a lot of this song and I haven't got bored and I love Perrie's voice in this song.
Pretend It's Ok- A less well known song from Little Mix but I love it. It's from their debut album DNA and I can't believe I forgot about this song. It's really good and they should've released it as a single. My favourite vocals in this song is Jade, especially at the end.
Change Your Life- I have loved this song for ages when I first heard it on Dancing On Ice (OMG the throwback) and I have still been listening to a lot of it still. I just think it's a great song just to sing your heart out to
Little Me- To be completely honest I wasn't the biggest fan of this song when it was first released in 2013 but I have been listening to this song a lot and I actually really like it and I love the inspirational message behind it.
I Love You- Lastly we have a song from Get Weird and OMG this song is so beautiful. This was a song I kind of forgotten about but I listened to it again and loved it, especially Jesy's voice halfway through the song.

Stictches- Shawn Mendes
I've never been a Shawn Mendes fan and didn't like Stitches but this song has been playing so much on Capital that I found it really catchy and kinda liking it. I really like it now and every time it comes I find myself singing and dancing along if I'm at home or if I'm out I find myself tapping my feet (like I recently did at the bus stop) or trying not to lip-sync.
*As I've been writing this, this song came on!

In The Night- The Weeknd
I'm a huge fan of The Weeknd since Earned It from the 50 Shades Of Grey movie (I only know the song from Capital TV) and I really like In The Night because the vocals are really nice and the actual music is good and really catchy and that's what I like in a song so I can sing and dance along to.

Love Yourself- Justin Bieber
Like a lot of people I have become a Justin Bieber fan since the release of Sorry and Love Yourself (I wasn't really a fan of What Do You Mean) and I wouldn't have thought that a year ago. Love Yourself was a favourite since I first heard it and because I'm good at remembering song lyrics, I knew all the words.

History- One Direction
This was the best song that One Direction could release before their break and I think it was their best song they've released (alongside Perfect). When I first heard I instantly liked it and quickly learnt all the words. Every time I hear this song I really shout (well more like pretend to shout) the words like 'YOU AND ME HAVE GOT A WHOLE LOT OF HISTORY'

Adventure Of A Lifetime- Coldplay
I've never been a Coldplay fan but when I first heard this song I was like 'oooh this is kinda a good song' I didn't know what it was called for a long time and even now I'm still a bit unsure (I have checked on Google as I had wrote down before adventures of a lifestyle). I have been listening to this on Spotify since it was released last year

I Know What You Did Last Summer- Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello
I first heard this song when YouTuber Maybaby did a cover and I liked it so I checked out the original and liked it. As I said I'm not really a fan of Shawn Mendes but I do like Fifth Harmony and I really like the song. I don't listen to it that much as I don't think it was released in the UK but when I do I really sing along even though it's not really a song to sing about to.

Over And Over Again- Nathan Sykes
I was a huge fan of The Wanted when they were a band; I definately preferred them to One Direction. Now they've split up Nathan has his own solo career and I have really liked them. I really like Over And Over Again as it's nice and slow and very different from his typical sound. There's now a new version with Ariana Grande but I don't like that version.

In2- WSTRN
I first heard this on the radio and didn't really like it but as I kept hearing it I liked it more and more as it's really catchy. It's not the best song but it's catchy and I do finding myself singing along. It's just come on as I'm writing this and I'm singing along and bopping my head along and doing actions.

You Don't Own Me- Grace ft. G-Easy
First time I heard this song I didn't like it and when it was played I still wasn't a fan but now I've been liking it as I've been listening to it on Spotify (my username is LouiseSprinkles) and been really belting it out and I do find myself singing it when it's not which is a sign I like a song.

Sorry- Justin Bieber
Yes! Another Justin Bieber song! Never in a million years I would've thought I was going to include 2 Justin Bieber songs but I have! I really like this song as it's really catchy and just an easy song to workout to or dance along as it has a good beat. I'm always singing this song as I can never get it out my head

Perfect- One Direction
Again another One Direction song which I really like. I included Perfect in my November Favourites last year but I'm still loving it listening to it on Spotify and singing it. I'm really gutted that One Direction have taken a break now as they were on a roll with good songs and a good album.

The Hills- The Weeknd
You might be able to tell who I've been listening to a lot recently which is Justin Bieber, One Direction and The Weeknd. I really like this song as it's really catchy and I know it's not the best song to love as it's about drugs and there's a lot of swearing but it's good song to hum along to and even dance to.

Army- Ellie Goulding
You might know this song from an ITV advert and that's where I first heard it; I was pretty sure it was Ellie Goulding and I liked the song so when I heard it on Capital I really liked the whole song. It's really catchy and you probably will find me singing along. I think this song is my favourite Ellie Goulding song but I really like Love Me Like You Do.

Bang My Head- David Guetta ft. Sia and Fetty Wap
I was kind of surprised that I liked this song because I don't normally like David Guetta but I like this song probably because of Sia (however I didn't like Titantuim, I hated that to be honest) and I really like the rap of it alongside the singing of Sia. I don't usually sing this song but I do have it in my head a lot of the time.

Coming Home- Sigma ft. Rita Ora
I'm usually not a fan of songs by DJs with singers, I don't like that genre of music but I really like this song. I think it's because of Rita Ora as I'm a fan of her. I also think I like this song because it's not super fast with lots of music there is a lot of vocal and being weird here but I only like songs with vocals.

Eyes Shut- Years & Years
I've been a fan of Years & Years since Shine (I didn't like King) and I really like their offering called Eyes Shut which is slow and really nice vocals; I heard a live version from the Jingle Bell Ball on YouTube and it sounded like the original and you can tell there was no lip-syncing.

Get Ugly- Jason Derulo

I've never been a fan of Jason Derulo (even though he is a featured artist on one of my favourite songs) but I actually really like Get Ugly. It's not a favourite of mine and never will be but at the moment I do like listening to it. Being honest I don't know any of the words but it does have a catchy tune.

Ain't Got Far To Go- Jess Glynne
I couldn't do a music post without Jess Glynne! Jess has recently released a new single from her album I Cry When I Laugh (which is amazing btw) called Ain't Got Far To Go which I really like as it's really catchy and got a good tune and it's sung by Jess Glynne so it's perfect in my mind.

I really hope you enjoyed this post. When I was writing this I had a lot of problems so now it's finished without problems makes me happy as I thought I was going to have to post with some text in the middle and some normal and with weird colours.
