Lee Stafford Chopstick Styler | Review

Recently I've been getting into curling my hair a lot more and my old curling tongs were really bad (they were £7.99 from Argos and took forever to curl a single piece of hair but I'll do a review on them another time) so I decided to get some new ones. I decided to get the Lee Stafford Chopstick Styler Curling Wand because I've heard good things about it and today I'm going to reveal my two sense on it.

Thoughts-
-Curls are made really quickly so don't need to hold for long. This is probably the same with most curling wands but my old ones didn't so it was a really good feeling when these one did.
-Thin barrel makes really tight curls.
-Heats up quickly
-Hair feels silky and smooth because it is coated in ceramic.
-Great value for money- £19.99 from Argos.

Overall I think these are amazing and would recommend to anyone who is looking to buy new a new curling wand. As I said they were £19.99 from Argos which I think is a great deal even though they weren't on offer. I would rate these 5/5 as I couldn't find any faults with them.

Let me know anything else you would like me to review whether it's makeup or anything really! For more of me follow me on my Twitter (@thelipinsider) for random thoughts about life and follow my Instagram (@thelipstickinsider) for my life in pictures.

Rimmel Volume Shake Mascara | Review

Last month I was makeup shopping in Boots when I saw this new Rimmel mascara and saw that it was on offer. I have never tried a Rimmel mascara before this so I decided to buy it and test it out. Also I hadn't heard anything about this mascara before (I haven't been watching many makeup videos recently) so this was very brand new to me and these are my first opinions.

My thoughts-
-It has a very wet formula which can get very messy and I did find that it went around my eyes but that's probably because I'm quite careless.
-It's very volumising which the same suggests and I really liked how my lashes looked after using this mascara.
-It also made my lashes quite long too which I weren't expecting but I liked it as I LOVE long lashes.
-The packaging is quite boring colour wise; it is also quite heavy (9g) which means you get a lot of product in. This mascara is supposed to last 12 months so that is pretty amazing.
-Wish it was waterproof as I feel more confident wearing waterproof mascara. I don't know if this smudges if you cried when wearing it as I didn't test that out.
-No clumps which is amazing!
-Would recommend and I would give it 4.5/5

The shake aspect of this mascara is pretty cool as it means when the mascara dries up you just shake the mascara and it will be fresh again. This is a genius idea especially as your only supposed to use a mascara for three months and it takes me more than to finish off a whole mascara.

Overall I really like this mascara and would recommend it, especially if it takes you a while to finish a mascara or if you just want a good mascara as this is a good one! For more of me follow me on Twitter (@TheLipInsider) and Instagram (@thelipstickinsider)!

Benefit They're Real Mascara Review

In my last makeup review I said that I wanted to do some more makeup reviews and that's what I'm going to be doing today. The product I'm going to be reviewing is the Benefit They're Real Mascara and I bought this after Christmas with my Christmas money and because it's quite expensive I thought I would review it.

Product- Benefit They're Real Mascara
Price- £19.95
Where from- I bought mine from Boots
Rating- 4/5
When I first got this mascara I didn't like it because it isn't good for voluminous lashes and that's what I want when I'm not at school. However when I started to do more natural lashes with this for school I realise it's much better at that as this is my strictly school mascara and I use a Maybelline mascara at home. This makes your lashes natural and long so it's more of a daytime mascara rather than an evening mascara as the lashes aren't voluminous. Something I have noticed is that it is quite waterproof even though it doesn't claim it's waterproof and it is hard to get off at the end of the day. I also have found that it doesn't really curl your lashes so before using this I have to curl my lashes, which is something I don't have to do with my other mascaras. To end on a positive I do love the packaging and you can tell it is an expensive mascara from the packaging (but maybe not the box)

So overall I do really like this mascara for natural makeup looks but I probably wouldn't get it again because it's expensive and I would rather spend my money on another high end product to test out. Have you tried this mascara? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Setting Spray | Review

Today I'm going to be doing a makeup review because I really want to do more and I've got a few planned so look put for those but today I'm going to be reviewing the Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Makeup Locking Setting Spray because I wasn't a fan of it and I wanted to share my opinion on it.

Product- Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Makeup Locking Setting Spray
Price- £6.99
Where from- Superdrug
Rating- 1/5

So as you can tell by my rating I didn't like this product and that's because it leaves white marks over my face which made me look sunburnt and flaky and obviously I couldn't go out like that (even though I nearly did). I know there is a way to stop that from happening but I've tried it and it didn't work for me although it might work for others and I have no idea how to solve it as I tried the method of spraying it far away from my face. A good point is I do like the packaging but not the product inside. I really want to try a setting spray so if you know any good ones let me know so I can try out.

As I'm sure you can guess I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone and that's really disappointing because I did want to like it and use it but obviously it did have a major problem. Let me know some good setting sprays in the comments below and also let me know if you have tried this setting spray and what you thought of it.

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation Review

Recently I decided to buy the Wake Me Up Foundation from Rimmel because I've heard so many people talk about it so I wanted to test it for myself. If you like me doing reviews let me know because I like writing them and if you like them I'll do more.

I love this foundation and I'm so glad I decided to buy it. Firstly it lasts all day, which is great because obviously I don't want to reapply it. It also has SPF 15 in, which is really handy because most people forget to apply SPF in the cooler months (I know I don't wear it) and you need it because you can still get burnt. The foundation is very buildable and I like to do two pumps because I want a lot of coverage and one pump is not enough; I would say that the coverage is medium which is great because I do wear this to school. Something people may not like about this foundation is that there is glitter in it but I personally don't mind it because I do like the dewy, glittery look.

I apply this foundation by firstly squeezing it onto a beauty blender and dab it around my face and then I propaerly go in with a foundation brush and smooth it out. Overall I really like this foundation and I would give it five out of five stars. You can buy this foundation from Boots and Superdrug for £8.99

Trying £1 Mascara | Review

Recently when I was in Tesco I found some £1 mascara down the brand outlet aisle so I thought as they were cheap I would pick both up and do a review because as it's only £1 you don't really expect much and good quailty from it.

These are the two mascaras that I picked up in Tesco and they are both by the brand Technic, which I have used before but never their mascaras so I'm hoping that they're good but if they're not I won't be too bothered.

Technic Get Lashed Volumising Mascara-
-Very messy as it gets round the eyes and even on your face
-Quite volumising
-Probably wouldn't repurchase because of the messy-ness issue but I will use it up

Technic Monster Lash Mascara-
-This mascara is not messy unlike the Get Lashed mascara
-Not very moisturising which means that this is more natural than the Get Lashed mascara
-I probably wouldn't repurchase it as I have mascaras that I prefer but I do like it.

Okay that is what I thought of the £1 mascaras from Tesco. These are good if you are on a budget but I probably wouldn't go for them as I have other mascaras that I like better. Sadly Tesco didn't have any more cheap makeup but I do really want to try Poundland makeup.

Zoella Beauty Tutti Fruity Review

Recently in Superdrug I picked up a bundle of Zoella Beauty products from the Tutti Fruity Range. I decided to pick this up because it was half price so it was £16 and one of the products is worth £15 so I thought it was a good deal. You get the vanity case, body lotion, shower gel, lip balm and cosmetic/coin purse.

Zoella Beauty Candy Cream Softening Body Lotion-
-Very strong scent of the tutti fruity scent and the product absorbs into your skin quickly.
-Very cute packaging and the actual body lotion has pink beads which you can see in the second photo
-I would recommend this product
On its own it's £5 from Superdrug and Feel Unique

Zoella Beauty Foam Sweet Foam Cleansing Shower Gel-
-It's a really nice scent (the tutti fruity scent works really well as a shower gel) and you can smell it even after coming out of the shower.
-Does leave the skin smooth and soft but after using this I will also use the body lotion (obviously not that in the shower)
-Does foam up a lot which I love
-I would recommend this product
On its own it's £3.50 from Superdrug and Feel Unique

Zoella Beauty Kissy Missy Lip Balm-
-Everyone talks about how pigmented it is but it's not and you really need to use a lot to get colour
-Not very moisturising and doesn't taste very nice
-Good for school, if you get along with it, because of how sheer the colour is
-I wouldn't recommend this product
On its own it's £3 from Superdrug and Feel Unique

Zoella Beauty Cosmetic/Coin Purse
-Perfect size for your handbag and fits in all of your essentials (I had this in a different design and it fits in most of my bags apart from the super tiny ones)
-Such a cute pattern and is translucent which is great
-Would also be good as a smaller pencil case if you didn't have much stationery.
-I would recommend this product
On its own it's £6 from Superdrug and Feel Unique

Zoella Beauty Frosted Vanity Case
-Perfect for your everyday makeup if you're going away
-Love the handle so you can transport places
-Can kinda see through it which I do actually like
-I would recommend this product
On its own it's £15 from Superdrug and Feel Unique

So that's my review on the Zoella Beauty Tutti Fruity range. I do have the body mist as well which I love and I have used up a pot of the scrub. I think this collection is my favourite so it's a shame it's being discontinued.

Victoria's Secret Pink Body Care Review

You probably know I have a huge collection of body care from Pink so I thought why not review it for you as it is quite expensive for what it is and you might be in denial whether to get something or not.

Body Lotions-
-Expensive for body lotion but a nice treat (and present) and I'm sure it will last a while as it's quite big and you get 500ml of product.
-All the same scents as the body mists so you could use the 2 in 1 Wash & Scrub, then this and then the body mist all in the same scent
-Love the pump instead of being in a squeezy tube
£15 each- 5/5

2 In 1 Wash & Scrub-
-Really strong scent which you can smell really well after coming out of the shower
-Expensive for what it is but it's a nice treat and a nice present
-I found it more of a scrub than a wash but it was a really nice scrub
£15 each- 4/5

Body Mists-
- Really nice scents and you can smell it for a while after you sprayed
-Handy to buy the small ones to try out the scents or to keep in your bag
-Lasts for quite a while although I do spray throughout the day
Small- £7 each Large- £15 each- 5/5

That was my Pink body care review and my final review is that I love the products but don't love the price although Victoria's Secret Pink always has 2 for £18 and 3 for £24 offers on which is a good deal.

MUA Review

Today I'm going to be reviewing makeup brand MUA, which you can get at Superdrug, because it's really affordable (£1 for a lipstick) and I wanted to see if it was good quailty for the price or not very good.

Products I'm Going To Be Reviewing-
-MUA Eyeshadow Palette- Undressed
-MUA Mega Volume Mascara- Black/Brown
-MUA Mosaic Bronzer Natural Glow- Shade 1
-MUA Lipstick- Shade 13
-MUA Nail Polish- Pistachio Ice Cream

MUA Eyeshadow Palette- Undressed
-Really pretty colours
-Nice pigmentation
-What I have been doing is using Puff as a base (top left) and in the inner corner, then I will use Hazel (2nd from top right) for more colour above Puff and lastly for a bit of fun I have been using Bronze Ore (bottom left).
-Good value for money and a good dupe for the Naked 1 palette which is like £35 more than this
Price- £4

MUA Mega Volume Mascara- Black/Brown
-Nice pretty mascara
-Not volumising at all and it only lengthened my lashes which was disappointing
-Natural mascara so it looks good on no-makeup makeup days
-Not what it says on the packaging
Price- £3

MUA Mosaic Bronzer Natural Glow- Shade 1
-Pretty when swatched
-Can't really see it when on the skin
-Maybe I got the wrong shade and if I got darker you would be able to see it
-Doesn't last all day
-Wouldn't recommend
Price- £3

MUA Lipstick- Shade 13
-Gorgeous red shade
-If you apply it badly you could end up looking like Miranda Sings as it does require lip liner and probably a lip brush
-Really nice and good pigmentation
-I want to try other shades of their lipsticks
Price- £1

MUA Nail Polish- Pistachio Ice Cream
-Cute colour
-Only need 1-2 coats
-Drys quite quickly without any nail polish quick drying spray
-I want to try some of the other shades as they're good quailty for the price
Price- £1

That was my review for MUA products. I love the lipstick, eyeshadow palette and nail polish, I did like the mascara but it didn't do what it says it would do and the bronzer wasn't that good sadly but I do want to try more products from MUA.

My Future Listography Review

Today I'm going to be reviewing the My Future Listography- All I Hope To Do In Lists book by Lisa Nola because I recently got this from Waterstones and as I really like I thought I would share with you what I like about it and maybe encourage you to get it if you was thinking about getting it (or asking for it for Christmas)

Points-
-Loads of good lists which are good for any ages- this book covers for anyone so whatever your age or interests there will be lists for you.

-It's a great activity to do on a rainy day when you're bored as all you need is a pen and if you're super bored you can even decorate it.

-It's a good gift for anyone and a good secret Santa gift (it is a bit early to be thinking about Christmas but some people like to do their shopping early)

-Nice little touch with the image (which is to do with the list) on the left and the list on the right so it's not too plain and boring when you open it

-Enough room to decorate with washi tape and stickers and you get a lot of lines on the lists to write in detail

-5/5

-Would recommend to anyone as I can't find any faults with it

This book is really good and I really enjoy writing in it and I think it's perfect after a long day or stressful day to think about your ideal world. This book is £11.99 from Waterstones but you can also get it on ebay and Amazon.
