My A5 Planner Set Up

Finally I'm going to be sharing with you whats inside my A5 planner as I mention it a lot but I don't ever really share what's inside so I thought I would should you how I plan and how organise and set up my planner as I'm really happy with it at the moment. Just a warning this is a photo heavy post but I'll try to keep words down to a minimum but I will tell you where things are from; this A5 planner is from Paperchase.

This is what you see when you first open the planner and in the front pockets I have these Wilko coloured dots stickers, which each colour means a different things like red is important dates. Then I have behind that which you can't see and they're colourful foil stars and in another front pocket I have the Today to-do list pad which comes with the planner but I haven't used it yet but I've kept it in there in case I want to use.

I also have my dashboard thing I made and I stuck some paper on the first card page it comes with then I stuck washi tape round the edge and stuck a neon star in the middle and with alphabet stickers I spelt out my name and I also used some stickers just for extra decoration.
Paper- Homesense
Washi Tape & Stickers- Paperchase
Neon Star & Alphabet Stickers- Wilko

This planner came with some stickers and I just keep them here in case I want to use them.

My first section is diary and this is the section that I come to the most. I made this divider the same as the first one and the same as all the other ones in this section.

You then get a yearly overview for 2016 and 2017 and at the top of the page I just used some washi tape from Paperchase.

Then you have an important dates section and it goes from July 2016- June 2017 and again I used some tape and this glitter tape is from Wilko.

You then get a year planner and you get a little section to write an important date on each day. I have so far just put stuff like birthdays and Halloween and dates like that.

I first have some Paperchase inserts which the planner came with but at first I didn't like them so I bought Filofax ones (below) but after using them for like 2 weeks I did like them but I chucked the others away- woops.

These are the Filofax inserts and I got these as they had a notes section which the Paperchase ones didn't have and the spaces for each day is equal as on the Paperchase ones didn't have much room on Saturday and Sunday.

My next section is To-Do and I have my blog to-do list

On the back of the divider I have a post-it with blog posts I want to do and then on the to-do list I have the order of blog posts and what ones I need to write.

Next up is school and this was originally meetings but I don't go to meetings so I changed it to what would suit me better.

This originally was meeting notes pages but I stuck some washi tape over the top and just pretend it's notes paper as why would I want to waste paper.

Next up I have my blog section and even though it says work I don't have a job as I'm in education but I put that because the divider tabs says work so I just put it so it was consistent.

Inside I just have blog notes and I do decorate these pages because I like having everything in my planner decorated.

Next we have a notes section.

I did cover up the post-it on the side so you can't read some blog post plans but I have random notes like a list of fun national days (even though I think they're American)

Next up is the buy section

This is just the section where I have shopping lists and I don't take this planner out but if I write it down I'm more likely to remember and then when I come home I see what I bought and tick it off.

The last section is favourites and this is the divider I don't like as much because I had to use a big neon star as it was the only one left and I think the washi tape is too big but it's fine and I don't see it much.

In this sections I just have favourites and this is where I plan my monthly favourites or anything favourites related like this notes is my favourites blog posts.

There is a large back pocket but I don't have anything in it but if I do use it I'll use it for loose papers.

This is the back of the planners and there is some marks but they're not that noticeable and I never turn over my planner just to see the planner so it's fine.

That's how I set up my planner and after taking all the pictures for this post I have kinda changed the set up a bit but only by adding in a sticky flag book in the front pocket and having a zip pocket at the back with stickers in.

Superdrug Haul

I hadn't gone beauty shopping in a while so I popped down to Superdrug to pick up a couple of new bits to try out and get me back into beauty as I haven't been writing too many beauty posts. Superdrug had quite a few offers on which obviously I took advantage off and I'm really happy with what I got.

I've wanted to get some of the Zoella Beauty Sweet Inspirations range for a while now but I just wasn't feeling any of the products but as they were on 3 for 2 and I wanted to get the Zoella Beauty Life Is Sweet Beauty Bag (which I got) so I also got the Zoella Beauty Bath Latte- Bath & Shower Milk and I haven't tried this yet but it smells really nice. So I could get one free I also picked up the Zoella Beauty Sugar Dip Scented Bath Salt Granules just to try out but I don't have high hopes as I'm not a big fan of the fizz bars.

Collection also had an offer on and it was 2 for £5 on £2.99 and £3.19 products so I bought some new lip products as I never wear lipstick anymore. Firstly I got the Collection Moisturising Lip Butter in Vintage Rose as a lovely everyday shade and my lips have been so dry so I got a moisturising one. You probably know how much I love the Collection Lipsticks so I picked up another Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 19 Red Carpet- Matte and it's a gorgeous red matte shade. I also wanted to get a new nail polish in a shade I don't have so I got a Rimmel London Rita Ora 860 Bestival Blue Nail Polish which is a gorgeous pale blue and I can't wait to paint my nails. Lastly I picked up a new Batiste Sweet & Delicious Sweetie Dry Shampoo as I hadn't seen this scent before and it was half price.

Prices-
All Zoella Beauty- £6 each (3 for 2)
Batiste Dry Shampoo- £1.48 (half price)
Collection Lip Products- £2.99 each (2 for £5)
Nail Polish- £2.99

That was my Superdrug Haul. I feel like I haven't done many fashion posts in a while so I want to go clothes shopping so I can make some cute outfits and share them with you. In the comments below let me know what your favourite colour is to paint your nails? Mine is anything pastel!

A5 vs. Personal- Which Is Better?

In the planning community there seems to be a big debate over what planner size is better- personal or A5. I have had both so I thought I would compare pros and cons on both planner sizes so you can decide what planner size to get- I personally prefer A5 but Personal are good and may fit your needs.

A5 Pros and Cons
Pros-
-Loads of room for notes and there's loads of room to explain plans in detail so you don't forget anything
-Loads of pockets to keep organised for papers and you only need to fold A4 papers in half as I hate folding paper as afterwards it looks messy.
-You can organise everything in your life so you need less planners as everything fits in one.

Cons-
-Really big to carry round and have in your bag and can become heavy
-More expensive for the planner and refills
-Not enough varieties or inserts as brands don't do as many and hard to find

Personal Pros and Cons
Pros
-Cheaper for the planner and refills
-Easy to carry in your bag as it weighs less and takes up less room and will fit in more bag sizes.
-Better and cuter designs (in my opinion but I do prefer the design on my A5 than my Personal but I see more cuter personal filofaxes)

Cons
-Can't fit in as many pages as you might want to and you have to fold pages more so they fit in the pockets
-Need multiple planners for different things you want to keep track of- more expensive in the long run
-You need to make smaller, more condense notes and some days you might not have enough space if it's a busy day

That was my comparison between A5 and Personal and if you're struggling to choose go for a personal planner first and if you like it keep it or upgrade to an A5. I would also recommend getting a Paperchase planner and then upgrade to Filofax (I probably won't myself though) just to be sure you like ringed planners.

Soap & Glory Review

A while back (like ages ago) I picked up a bunch of Soap & Glory miniatures so I could try out their products and I've used them all and finished them up (apart from the Hand Food) but I've never got round to reviewing them so today I'm writing the long over due Soap & Glory Review.

Soap & Glory Hand Food- This is a product I had heard a lot of people talk about and I wanted to know if it's good and it is very moisturising and makes my hands feel soft which is obviously a good thing. The scent is really nice and I think this little one would be perfect for in your handbag or on your desk for top-ups throughout the day. I probably will repurchase when I'm finished.

Soap & Glory Clean On Me Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel- Soap & Glory's full size shower gels are quite expensive for what they are so I picked up a mini and this does have a nice scent which is quite a clean scent so you know your being clean (IDK what I'm saying) and it's cool that it has built in body lotion because I hate applying body lotion. I probably wouldn't repurchase as full size is quite expensive (£6.50 on Boots) but the mini bottles are good.

Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Scrub- This is another iconic Soap & Glory product so I wanted to try it and I really liked it as it is a good body scrub and smells really nice. The only downfall is that the actual product looks disgusting but it will have to do because it is a good product and I keep forgetting to buy a full size.

Soap & Glory Glad Hair Day Daily Super Shampoo & Conditioner- Let's start off with the shampoo and it does have a really lovely scent but it didn't work with my hair leaving it dry and I needed to wash it more often which was a pain. The conditioner was better as it did detangle my hair (unlike the shampoo which claimed to make hair shine) but the conditioner had a different scent to the shampoo and this one was more peachy and I preferred the shampoo scent. Overall I won't repurchase.

Overall thoughts-
-Really cute packaging and I love how the main colour is pink (My favourite colour)
-Products are nice to use
-Quite expensive for what they are and you could get cheaper, especially with the shower gel but I don't mind paying for good products like the body scrub
-Would repurchase some and some I won't get again

That was my Soap & Glory review and I haven't done a review for a while but I have some planned so look out for them. My question of the day is what is your favourite colour? As I said mine's pink!

Collective Haul | Primark, Victoria's Secret, Paperchase + More!

Today I'm going to be doing another Collective Haul with some recent purchases. I'm now going on a stationery ban because I have way too much and I don't even use a lot of it so for I don't know how long I won't be able to buy stationery but there is some in this haul (I've only just put myself on this ban)

Firstly I wanted to get some pages for my A5 planner which was in my last collective haul and at first I didn't really like the Paperchase pages as there was no notes section but it never actually bothered me so I got some of the Filofax A5 Week On Two Pages Diary August 2016-July 2017 and these were hard to find but I found them in Ryman. I also bought some Filofax A5 White Ruled Notepad because the Paperchase planner didn't come with any notepaper and I needed some for my other sections.

Recently I've been loving false nails so I picked up some more designs from Primark and they're not good quailty but I liked the designs. I picked up P.S Aztec 24 Fashion Nails and these ones are more pointy and sharp and I also bought P.S. Watermelon Design 24 Nails and P.S. Purple, Green, Pink Design Nails and these are more square but I don't know what version I like best. They all come with glue but the glue isn't very good.

I love the Victoria's Secret and Pink body mists so in one week I picked up 4 (not at the same time though) so from Victoria's Secret I picked up Pure Seduction (which is probably my new favourite) and Love Addict and these are full size. From Pink I bought miniatures of Sweet & Flirty and Wild At Heart as I wanted to try the scents but I didn't need 2 more full size body mists.

In Paperchase I bought some stuff from their Spectrascope collection and I already had the rainbow A5 coloured card but I bought the Spectrascope Pastel A5 Card 100 Pack as I love pastels and the colours are so pretty and to go along with that I bought the Spectrascope 8 Washi Tapes- Pastel because the colours were pretty and I was going to get the rainbow colours but I thought I would use pastel more as pastels are my favourite colours. Also from Paperchase I did buy a storage box and it's the Wedding Floral Medium Box and I'm using this to keep my skincare in as it's the perfect size and looks nice on my dresser.

Lastly from Primark I bought a new throw because I love Primark's throws as they are super soft and I like changing up the background in blog photos so you'll see my throw in action soon. This throw is just a simple Pink & White Throw but goes with my bedding really well.

Prices-
 Filofax Diary- £10
Filofax Notepad- £3.25
False Nails- £1 each
Victoria's Secret Body Mists- 2 for £18
Victoria's Secret Pink Mini Body Mists- £7 each
Storage Box- £3.75
Pastel Card- £4
Washi Tape- £6
Throw- £5

That has been the stuff I've been buying recently and I really want to do a no-spend month challenge but that's going to be super hard for me but it would be good to save money as I'm the worst at saving money.
