Q&A

Hi,
Today I'm going to be doing a Q&A so you guys can get to know me a little bit better. I will be doing some tags in the future so if you have any requests, let me know in the comments below. All of the questions in this post is from random places on the inter-web so I can't take credit for any of the questions.
Lets get started!

Are you a good swimmer?
No I'm really bad so never take me swimming! I've had hours and hours of lessons but I just can't swim. I do want to swim but my body doesn't let me do anything physical; I was made to watch YouTube and stay in bed all day!

If you ruled your own country, who would you like to write the national anthem?
I wouldn't go for a traditional one like 'God Save The Queen' so I would get someone like Jess Glynne (my favourite singer) or even Little Mix or Fifth Harmony for a upbeat fun song!

What makes you angry?
What makes me angry? That's a whole new blog post in itself! There's a lots of things that makes me angry such as messy handbags, people who don't walk in a straight line, people in Aldi, people who like to gossip and take the whole street up... This list could go on for hours and hours!

If you were stinking rich, would you only go to places that rich people go?
No as I would miss Primark and high-street stores as I don't really like designer clothing most of the time. I know you can't go here but if I had to only eat food that rich people eat, I would miss chocolate M&Ms as I miss them too much.

Did your school have a teatowel that everyone submitted to?
Yes in like reception we each had to draw ourselves on a small piece of paper and then they got transferred onto a teatowel. I have no idea where mine is but it has to be somewhere in the house.

Have you ever brought a present for someone that they hated/disliked?
Probably yes but I've never been told or got the impression so I can't really say.

If you was a famous singer, what would you debut album be called?
I would like something quite original but I'm really bad of thinking of original names so it would probably end up as something like 'Louise Carter' or a name of a song on the album. However, I would never have an album as I can't sing at ALL.

What's your favourite children's story?
I can't remember like really young children books but I used to love the Jacqueline Wilson books (my favourite was Lola Rose) and the David Walliams books. Thinking of it, I can't remember what books I used to read.

Have you ever helped out an injured animal?
No sadly as I've never had the chance to. Or I might have and ignored it, which probably was the case and now I feel bad...

What do you do to keep fit?
Nothing, only PE at school. I know that's really bad but I hate fitness and my body hates it to as I wasn't born to be sporty.

Have you ever had a surprise party?
I've never but I wouldn't want one as I would want to plan it all. I've only ever had 2 parties in my life and they weren't surprise ones, they were TimBuk2 (a soft play centre) and bowling.

Do you love or hate rollercoasters?
I hate them when I'm in the queue and actually on the ride but I love them after I've come off. I recently when on Rage at Adventure Island at Southend and I hated it in the queue and on it but I loved it afterwards. So basically I have a love/hate relationship with them.

What's your favourite flower?
Peonies as they're beautiful flowers and have a beautiful name!

Are you a smart spender?
No- I'm the worst spender in the world. When I have money I feel the urge to go and spend it and it's really bad and I usually waste it on unnecessary things so I really need to be more careful.

What is your shoe size and height?
I'm not sure on my height but I pretty sure I'm over 5ft. My shoe size is super awkward as I'm a 6 1/2 which is a pain as size 6 is too small but size 7 is big most of the time so I mainly wear lace-ups, which I don't mind as they're comfy!

What would you do if you won the lottery?
Spend it straight away! I probably wouldn't win loads and loads but lets say I won £1,000,000. I would treat all of my family and friends, I would talk myself, my sister and Dad on holiday, I would give some to my Dad and I would spend the rest (probably on clothes, bags, shoes and makeup).

Do you like the heat?
No I don't as I always complain, I can't sleep, I have to show my legs, it's just a big problem.

Do you like the cold?
No as I always complain, you can get ill easier, I complain. I just have to have the temperature the perfect temperature which is warm but you can still wear jeans

Which form of public transport do you prefer?
None of them really but I will go on them. If I had to choose I would choose buses as they're easier and cheaper. I hate trains (although I will go on them) as I'm scared of going the wrong way and I'm also scared of getting stuck on one.

What's your favourite milkshake flavour?
Chocolate- I have chocolate anywhere, especially McDonalds which do the best milkshakes ever! Although I did recently have a KitKat chunky milkshake and that was amazing and to die for.

What's your favourite TV advert?
I don't watch TV much so I don't see the adverts but I do love the MoneySupermarket advert with the builder dancing as it's hilarious!

Do you like reality TV programs?
No as I always hate the people on them and that's a big part of those shows so I don't watch them.

Do you like TV talent shows?
Some like I'm a fan of Strictly Come Dancing and The Voice but I hate The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent- anything Simon Cowell does I pretty much hate.

What was the last book you read?
I Hate MySelfie by Shane Dawson and that was at the beginning of the summer holidays....

If you could live anywhere, where would you live?
Either London or Surrey as they both have some gorgeous houses and it's kinda near where I live now, which is important. I wouldn't live abroad as I would miss my home comforts and friends and family.

How many pillows do you sleep with?
Only 1! I'm very picky when it comes to pillows as I hate the really fat ones so my pillow looks dead but it's what I find most comfortable.

I hope you enjoyed this Q&A and if you do have any un-answered questions, ask me them in the comments and I'll answer them!
See you soon,
Louise

Stationery Haul

Hello everyone,
I think I have a problem, an obession to stationery; I just can't stop buying it! It's all super cute and anything cute draws my attention. I also think I have a problem to pens as I have way too many colourful pens so someone restrict me!
Most of the stationery is from Tesco because it's near, affordable and they actually have some cute pieces in there so make sure you check it out.
If you like this type of post let me know so I know to do more in the future! Also I'm doing a mid-week post so I hope you don't mind!
Lets get started!

A running theme in this haul will be notebooks and pens I warn you! I don't really know why I got this notebook other than it's cute pattern and that's is very thin and practical. I've been planning blog posts in here even though I have a different notebook for that so I obviously didn't need this.

Another notebook! This was actually in my Tesco Haul (link here if you haven't read it) but as this is a stationery haul I thought I would include it again. This is for my school bag and I write wishlists, goals or any other random notes in here. I really like this one because it has a nice inspirational message so when you get it out, you are greeted with a nice message.

THIS IS NOT A NOTEBOOK! It's a planner! I decided to get myself a planner to organise my life. I like to write when blog posts are going live, to do lists and when homework is due. It's really helpful so I would recommend you get one, even if you do get one from school so you can organise your school work and your social life. This one was half price so it was super cheap!

Yes this is another notebook! I love this one as there's so many pages and I think it's super cute! This is my blogging notebook so I write ideas and plan blog posts in here. I always have to plan a blog post before I write it so I know what pictures I need to take and some important points so I don't miss anything out.

This is my new homework folder as I want to keep my homework safe and not get it ruined. I also got this from Tesco and it was only £1.50. I usually go for them popper folders but I didn't this year as mine in the past have got all dirty and bent and this one looks more professional.

I love Sharpies, like a lot. I don't know what it is about them but I bloody love them. This is the 80's glam pack of 24 and I would highly recommend them. There's some beautiful colours like the bubblegum pink, mint green, light blue and lilac. I use these to make titles and revise with as they're amazing for mind maps and posters.

Now we're going onto the sticky notes section of this haul. I've recently become a bit obessed with sticky notes. It's like with the Sharpies, I don't know why I love them but I do. I got some heart sticky notes for no particular reason but they have come in handy as I write notes on them (obviously) and stick on all of my notebooks.

These are aloud to be in this haul as I have a purpose for them. I got these to use a bookmarks, which is what I have been doing. There's 5 colours as you can see: Coral, pink, green, yellow and orange. I also use these to mark of blog posts in my blogging notebook to separate the blog posts and so I can get to them easily.

Now for the last pack of sticky notes yay! I also don't know why I got this pack of 350, square post-its (but they're Tesco's own). There is green, a coral colour, yellow and orange. I have been using this in my blogging notebook (that notebook is FILLED with sticky notes) to write mini to-do lists and notes.

I'm not sure what I'm going to use this for as at the moment it's just standing on my desk as a pretty background. At the moment Tesco have a beautiful range of stationery with this beautiful floral pattern. I have no clue what this is going to be used for as I didn't need it but I'll probably place random papers in here.

More colourful pens! These pens are actually very useful and get used quite a lot because I write with these in my planner. There's 20 colours which range from yellow, blues, greens to autumnal/dark colours. It also comes in this case which you can stand up open on your desk but I don't use it as I keep these pens in a DIY pot.

These were something I needed! I really like highlighters so I got some. I got the most expensive ones they had in Tesco (not on purpose though) as it's the Sharpie brand and as we've seen today, I love the Sharpie brand. I use these in my school books to highlight the most important notes so when it comes to studying, I know what things to focus on.

I really didn't need this pack of Sharpies but because I love Sharpies I decided to get another pack of the essential colours. I have this pack in my pencil case (which you will see in a minute) so I have some easy to get to and if I need more colours I can go to the ones in my bag.

I also didn't need this pack of felt tips as I have loads of Sharpies but knowing me I put them in my basket. I do use these as I use these to make titles of blog posts in my blogging notebook. The colours are really beautiful, especially the pink, light green and light blue but all of the colours are amazing.

This is my pencil case the one that I was talking about above. I had been debating whether to get this or not as I loved them but I thought/think that they're too pricey for what they are. I decided to take the plunge and get one because I had wanted one for ages. There's loads of colour options so something for everyone but my favourite was the pink and purple one.

When my friend Ting Ting went to China, she brought us all back some presents! She got me these really cute pens that look adorable as they're bubblegum/pastel pink! I love using these pens but I use the pink one (the one on the right) for special things as it writes really nice.

I really hope you enjoyed this haul and let me know if you did so I know to do more! If you would like more of me follow me on Twitter and my username is @_LouiseCarter_ and bascially I tweet complaints and let you know when a blog post goes live so follow me on there!
Thanks for reading and I'll see you Sunday,
Louise

DIY Lace Ups

Today I'm going to be sharing with you how to DIY some plain, boring lace-ups and make them into cool lace-ups that everyone will be asking where you got them from! This is my FIRST EVER DIY and I'm really excited to share it with you as I've been planning this post since the summer!
Why Wait Around, lets get DIY-ing!

What You Need:
- Lace-Ups (whatever style you want but preferbably white as they're easier to design on. My pair were from the Shoe Zone and they're were only like £4.99)
- Sharpies (Whatever colours you want and I use the fine ones which are the best for things like this)
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Whatever else you want to decorate with e.g. glitter, I don't know what else

How To DIY Them:
1. Before you start, I would suggest that you plan out what design you want and what colours and decorations you want to use. The design can be what you want, as complicated or simple, the choices are endless.
2. If you need to you may need to measure out where you're going to draw everything- I did this for the checked pattern but I went free-hand on the red.
3. When you're happy that you know where everything is going and what colours you're using, colour/draw it on with sharpies!
4. You are done! How simple was that and now you have special one-of-a-kind pair of lace-ups.

I hope you enjoyed this very first DIY. Hopefully I'll be doing more in the future so let me know what things you would like me to DIY (clothes, room décor etc.). I wanted to start with an easy DIY but I'm sure all DIYs here will be very simple. How many times did I write DIY in this paragraph!

See you Sunday

Tesco Haul | September 2015

Hi,
Today I'm back with a Tesco haul of just stuff that I needed to get. It's mainly beauty and stationary so if you like that sort of stuff, keep reading.
This might become a regular thing as I do usually need to get stuff with my pocket money so if I do, I'll show you my loves.
Enough rambling, lets get started!

Bath Body Puff
First things first, lets start off with the most boring thing first, a puff. I needed a new one because my last one broke :( I usually go for bright ones but this time I've gone for a white one because I love white and it's more classy.
This was £1, which I think is quite expensive for what it is (probably because I always get free ones from gifts!).

Tesco My Senses Nourished Skin Bath Crème in Shea Butter & Almond Blossom
I meant to get a bath soak but because I'm stupid I picked up a bath crème instead. It's alright though as the description does say bath soak. What this is:
"Indulge your body and mind with this extract enriched bath soak containing a blend of shea butter and almond blossom. Helps hydrate your skin and leaves you feeling pampered."
The scent of this is so gorgeous and the packaging is also gorgeous.
This was 80p which is a bargain as the Tesco own beauty things are really good.

Radox Feel Glam With Berry Burst Shower Cream

Shower gel is an essential in everybody's life so that's why I needed to get more! I always get a cheap one and this one was half price; although I do always check if I'll like the scent! This one is berry scented and I love anything to do with berries. Description:
" Sweet, bright, berry, a real showstopper. Feel sharp, sassy and ready for your red carpet moment"
This was half price and I got it for 89p.

Ice Breakers Sours
As Tesco let me down on gum I decided to get some Ice Breakers from the American section of Tesco. I've never actually had something from the American section but I thought I would try these. There is 3 flavours: Green Apple, Watermelon and Tangerine. My favourite is green apple, followed by watermelon and then tangerine although I don't mind it.
These were £1.50

Maybelline Baby Lips in Melon Mania
I needed a new lip balm as my lips have been getting really chapped recently (I didn't really need a new lip balm but any excuse are welcomed). I haven't actually seen this Baby Lips and it's in the scent Melon Mania. It has a really nice smell, a slight tint to the lips and I love the colours of the packaging together.
This was £2.99

Tesco Sticky Notes
If you read my August Favourites (which you should've) you would know that I am going through a faze of liking/buying sticky notes. Because of that, I got some new sticky notes. They do come in handy as I use them in my blogging notebook and around my bedroom. The only thing I don't like about these is that there is no pink ones :(
These were £1

Hello Beautiful A5 Notebook
My current notebook (my blogging one) is really big and also breaks if you move it round too much (if that makes any sense) so I wanted to get a slimmer one for my school bag in case I need a piece of paper. I really like how slim it is and most importantly I love the design as it's cute and has a nice inspirational message.
This was a bargain at £1.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
I know I'm really late on The Hunger Games trend (well the last movie is coming out in November) but I'm not a huge reader so I have only read the first book. The only books I mainly read is YouTubers so I thought to myself I needed to read a 'proper' book. I wanted to get Paper Towns as I've read a sample but Tesco didn't have it.
This was £3.85 (RRP £7.99)

Planner
I wanted to get a real, personal planner/diary so I got one. There was some more professional ones but no-ones going to see it so I got one that I actually liked. It's super cute and now I have a place to write when blog posts are going up and when I need to do homework.
This was such a steal at only £2!

I hope you enjoyed this Tesco Haul as it's a bit different to something I would usually do.
If you want more, let me know!
See you next Sunday,
Louise

Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe

Today I'm going to be sharing with you my favourite cupcake recipe. I don't bake much but if I do I'll make cupcakes as they're easy and the end result is hopefully yummy!
I made cupcakes with my sister Georgia in the summer holidays so I thought I would share with you how we made them and how we decorated them.
Lets get started!

What You Need:
- 100g self-raising flour
- 100g caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 100g butter
- Cocoa powder
- Chocolate Chips
- Chocolate frosting
- Chocolate M&Ms
- Mini Marshmallows
- Sprinkles
- Cupcake Cases
(Obviously you can change these ingredients and you don't even need to include the cocoa powder and chips if you want to make a different flavour ones)

Recipe
1. Firstly pre-heat your oven to gas mark 5/375°F/190°C and line your bun tin with cupcake cases.
2. Add your flour, sugar, butter, eggs and any other ingredients (we used cocoa powder and choc chips) to a mixing bowl.
3. Mix all of them ingredients together using a whisk. We didn't have a whisk so we had to use the good old wooden spoon!
4. After mixing, transfer the mixture to the cupcake cases using an ice-cream scoop. Using a ice-cream scoop is better as you get the same amount in each case and it's easier!
5. Cook for 15 minutes or so until a knife comes out clean.
6. Cool for about 15 minutes before decorating as you don't want your decoration to melt!
7. Decorate however you want; the choices are endless! We used chocolate frosting to hold everything on and then we used chocolate M&Ms, mini marshmallows and sprinkles.
8. Hopefully you're hard work payed off and you have amazing cupcakes. Now you deserve to sit and have one whist watching YouTube/Netflix/TV or reading this blog *cough cough*

I hope you enjoyed this recipe post as it's something I've never done before so I hope I've explained it clearly. If you do have any questions (related to this or not) leave them in the comments below and I will answer them.
See you next Sunday

August Favourites

Hi,
It's now September and that means it's time for August favourites. I don't have many beauty favourites so this is more of a lifestyle favourites.
What's the point of waiting, lets get started!

So lets start off with kind of a weird favourite, Sharpies. I now have quite a collection and that makes me very happy. I use them for DIYs and writing notes and they're just amazing. They are quite pricey but I would recommend these ones over own-brand names.

Another weird favourite but recently I have been reading a lot of OK!. I'm kinda a nosy person so I like reading about all of the celebs. It also has a fashion section which is also good. In the issue on the far right there was an interview with Zoella so that was a pleasant surprize. I read these to chill out which leads me onto my next favourite...

(Sorry about the bad picture)
As I have no school or any plans I basically have spent the majority of my summer chilling out, which is fine by me. What I have been doing is watching loads of YouTube, listening to music and reading magazines. I know I won't be able to watch as much YouTube this month so I'm binge watching it.

IISuperwomanII is one of my latest subscriptions but that doesn't mean I don't love her. She dresses up as her Indian parents a lot and it's so funny. My favourite videos from her are her My Parent Reacts (although she dresses up as them) and my favourites were them reacting to Anaconda, Bad Blood and the 50 Shades Of Grey Movie Trailer. I also love the fact that she calls her fans unicorns!

I'm sure everyone knows who PointlessBlog is but if you don't he's Alfie Deyes and he's Zoella's boyfriend. I knew who he was and I saw him in Zoe's vlogs but I'd never probably watched him until mid-July. I do really like his videos and his vlog channel where he tries to upload a daily vlog daily.

I have loved Diet Coke for years and years but I have been drinking it so much this last month; I probably have a problem. practically every restaurant I go I have a diet coke and I have it with a lot of meals. Someone take the diet coke away from me!

Another stationary favourite and that is sticky notes (Post-It notes but these are Tesco's own). I have been using post-its a lot recently to remind me to take blog pictures, edit them, write a blog post, tidy my room and they do actually help me; I think it's the bright colours, I like bright colours!

This last month I have been bothered to do my hair (I have done it, it's clean) so I like to use dry shampoo on my roots to stop it getting greasy and it's better for your hair. Batiste is my favourite dry shampoo brand because I like all of their scents; the one I currently have is my favourite and it's the cherry scent.

I know baths are very autumnal and winter-y but I have been having quite a few recently (I do want to be clean). I've been having bubble baths and I use the Along Came Betty So Much Bubble Heavenly Bath Soak, it's okay but you do need to use a lot of a fair amount of bubbles.

I go to Costa quite a bit (every Sunday morning) and I usually always have the same drink, the Belgian Chocolate Creamy Cooler which I need to thank Cerys for introducing it into my life. It's so good and I recommend you get your butt down to Costa NOW and get one!

I'm a huge fan of Jess Glynne so I knew I had to get her debut album, I Cry When I Laugh. I love all of the songs on it (BTW I listened to it in a day all at once) but my top, top, top songs are:
- Don't Be So Hard On Yourself
- Take Me Home
- Gave Me Something
- Saddest Vanilla
There's more but otherwise I would end up listing them all.

There we had my August favourites. I probably won't have many favourites next month due to school but hopefully I'll do one next month.
See you Sunday,
Louise
