Benefit They're Real Mascara Review

In my last makeup review I said that I wanted to do some more makeup reviews and that's what I'm going to be doing today. The product I'm going to be reviewing is the Benefit They're Real Mascara and I bought this after Christmas with my Christmas money and because it's quite expensive I thought I would review it.

Product- Benefit They're Real Mascara
Price- £19.95
Where from- I bought mine from Boots
Rating- 4/5
When I first got this mascara I didn't like it because it isn't good for voluminous lashes and that's what I want when I'm not at school. However when I started to do more natural lashes with this for school I realise it's much better at that as this is my strictly school mascara and I use a Maybelline mascara at home. This makes your lashes natural and long so it's more of a daytime mascara rather than an evening mascara as the lashes aren't voluminous. Something I have noticed is that it is quite waterproof even though it doesn't claim it's waterproof and it is hard to get off at the end of the day. I also have found that it doesn't really curl your lashes so before using this I have to curl my lashes, which is something I don't have to do with my other mascaras. To end on a positive I do love the packaging and you can tell it is an expensive mascara from the packaging (but maybe not the box)

So overall I do really like this mascara for natural makeup looks but I probably wouldn't get it again because it's expensive and I would rather spend my money on another high end product to test out. Have you tried this mascara? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

What's In My School Bag

The last time I did a What's In My School Bag I had a handbag style bag but now I have a backpack and I love it so I thought I would show you what's inside so you can get some ideas on what to keep in your school bag. There is a lot of pockets in this bag, which I prefer, so I can keep it so organised and it's easy to find things.

This is my school bag and I got it from Victoria's Secret Pink. It's very bright and that's the first thing people will say to me but I got it because I really like the colour. It has lots of pockets which is really handy because it means I can organise my belongings really well and I know where I can find them.

Pritt Stick 43g- The first thing I keep in the front pocket is my glue stick. I like to have my own glue stick because not all of the classrooms have glue sticks or when they do they have about three so it's just easier to have my own but if a classroom has glue I will use that instead.

Essentials Bag- I keep all of my essentials in this Zoella Beauty beauty bag and this is the perfect size that I even bought one for my handbag. Inside I keep lip balm, hand sanitiser, hairbands, hand cream, polos, Tic Tacs and anything else that I need as an essential.

Geography Flashcards- In year 9 I made flashcards to revise for Geography (this year I did another technique) and I don''t want to throw them away because I spent time on them and if we have a quick little test (which never happens) I can use these to revise and I also don't know where else to keep them so they stay in here.

Spare Black Pens- In my school we have to write in black and my worst nightmare is running out so I have about 4 brand new pens in the front pocket ready to use when they all run out.

Deodorant- To be honest I usually forget I have this in my bag but when I do remember I use it after PE. This one is from Soft & Gentle and it's in the scent of Wild Rose & Vanilla and it smells really nice.

Lunch- The only thing I keep in the 1st pocket is my lunch. Throughout the day I will keep it in my locker so my bag is lighter and I just don't like carrying my lunch around so thank god for my locker.
Pencil Case- The 2nd pocket is where I keep all of my school stuff and to start off with I have my pencil case. I have a new pencil case since doing this last and it's from Superdry. Inside I just have all of the stationery you need for school and also my scientific calculator.

Sharpies- I also have another pencil case and inside I just keep Sharpies. I haven't really been using them much but I usually use them for revision posters or anything that involves colouring. In case you was wondering this pencil case is from Tesco.

Body Mist- I then keep the body mist that I am wearing that day so I can freshen up throughout the day (and my friend Nicha always asks to use it). I either have one from Victoria's Secret or Victoria's Secret Pink.

Water Bottle- We all know that we have to stay hydrated throughout the day so that is why I have this water bottle. This water bottle is from Primark and it is massive; it's 1L! I don't drink the whole water but I do drink quite a bit.

A Christmas Carol- This is one of the texts that we're studying for English GCSE so this is my copy of the text which is all annotated. I actually don't need this in my bag anymore as we finished it so I now need to put Macbeth in because that's what we're moving onto next.

Reading Book- We always have to have a reading book on us and the book I'm currently reading is Bridget Jones' Diary and I'm actually nearly finished so when I am I will move onto reading Girl Online Going Solo

Anne Frank Script- As I'm writing this we are two weeks from the show and I know it's going to be really bad because I'm really bad and no one knows their lines (but I kinda do) so I still have my script just in case.

A5 Notebook- I like to keep a notebook of my own in my bag because sometimes I need paper so this means I have paper. To be honest I don't use this that much but if I didn't have it one day, I would probably need it.

Planner- I also have my planner which the school gives us. In here I just write down my homework and even though we have an online place which says our homework, not all the teachers use it and we're forced to write it in our planners.

Exercise Books- I have some of my school books in my bag for revision and homework. I only take home the books I really need so the others stay in my locker, although I have left my books in my locker too many times to count.

Homework Folder- The last thing in this section is my homework folder. Obviously I just keep my homework inside but at the moment it's a bit messy as I have lots of random pieces of paper so I need to organise this.

Pouch- In the 3rd pocket, which is right at the back, I just keep things for that time of the month in this rose gold pouch which I got from a handbag in Primark. I keep it at the back so it's the most secure.

That is everything I keep in my school bag. If you would like to see a What's In My Bag let me know but my current handbag is a backpack so I would be doing another What's In My Backpack so let me know if you want that.

Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Setting Spray | Review

Today I'm going to be doing a makeup review because I really want to do more and I've got a few planned so look put for those but today I'm going to be reviewing the Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Makeup Locking Setting Spray because I wasn't a fan of it and I wanted to share my opinion on it.

Product- Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Makeup Locking Setting Spray
Price- £6.99
Where from- Superdrug
Rating- 1/5

So as you can tell by my rating I didn't like this product and that's because it leaves white marks over my face which made me look sunburnt and flaky and obviously I couldn't go out like that (even though I nearly did). I know there is a way to stop that from happening but I've tried it and it didn't work for me although it might work for others and I have no idea how to solve it as I tried the method of spraying it far away from my face. A good point is I do like the packaging but not the product inside. I really want to try a setting spray so if you know any good ones let me know so I can try out.

As I'm sure you can guess I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone and that's really disappointing because I did want to like it and use it but obviously it did have a major problem. Let me know some good setting sprays in the comments below and also let me know if you have tried this setting spray and what you thought of it.

Come Along With Me | Oxford Street Shopping

On my blog you always get hauls but you never know anything about the actual shopping trip so I thought I would take you along with me to Oxford Street, which is one of the best places in London to go shopping, and come shopping with me. If you like this blog post let me know because I can do it again.

Obviously to start off with I had to get there and to do that I got the tube and went to Oxford Circus Underground Station and then from there I headed to Oxford Street. It's obviously busy all the time because it is the heart of London but this day was particularly bad because there was protests in London about Donald Trump (I went on the day after he officially became president)

The first shop I went to was Topshop and I went there to buy a purse but there ended up being none I liked so I ended up buying something else which you will see at the bottom of the post. At the moment I'm really liking Topshop and especially Ivy Park. You can also see the outfit I was wearing that day:
Leather Jacket- Primark
Khaki Green Jumper- H&M
Jeggings- Primark

After doing some more wondering around the shops I was very cold and thirsty so I went into the Costa down Great Portland Street and got a large hot chocolate. It was also in a Christmas cup which I found annoying as it was just under a month since Christmas but I do totally understand they were trying to get rid of them.
I also love this nail varnish that I'm wearing and it's from Barry M. It is the Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in Supersonic and it's such a gorgeous blue metallic shade.

I then did a lot more looking around the shops like in the flagship Primark branch, Zara, Urban Outfitters and loads more but I didn't buy anything in any of them because there wasn't anything I truly liked. However in Lush I did walk away with three bubble bars and that was actually all I bought along with one thing in Topshop.

And after a long day in London I headed back home on the tube with my new purchases which I love and after having a great day doing something which is my passion, shopping.

So these were my purchases of the day. In Topshop I bought the black version of my current backpack which is a nude colour and because I love that bag I bought it in black as well. In Lush I got three bubble bars- Supertramp (a Lush Oxford Street exclusive), Big Band and Creamy Candy. They all smell very different from each other but I'm excited to try them.

These are my two Snapchats from the day that I posted while I was out. The first is my Topshop bag and the second is my panini from Costa which I got later that day and it was very nice. I hope you enjoyed this post and sorry some of the pictures are portrait I forgot that I had to do them landscape until I got home but I still wanted to this post, regardless of the pictures.

Drugstore Starter Kit

Today I'm going to be sharing makeup which I think is good to have when starting out your makeup collection. Obviously you don't need to go out and buy all of this at once or get the whole kit but these are my favourite products which are cheap but also good quailty aswell and everything is under £10.

So to start off with I would recommend you get a makeup bag. The makeup bag in the thumbnail is from Victoria's Secret and is probably out of your price range but Primark is my favourite place to buy makeup bags. They have a great selection of patterns and shapes of the bag and they only £3-£4, which is a bargain.

Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation- Most young girls start off with a BB cream but I actually went straight to a foundation and if you are going to do the same I would spend a bit more money on a good foundation like this one because the cheap ones aren't very good quailty but this Rimmel one is amazing.
This is £7.99 from Boots

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer- If you watch a lot of these videos on YouTube you will notice that most YouTubers would recommend the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer but that's actually not that good so I would go for this concealer which is great for under the eyes and also any blemishes.
This is £5.49 from Boots.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder- To set your foundation and concealer you will need a powder and a good one to start off with is this Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and this is really simple to use as all you have to do is brush this all over your face and you are done.
This is £3.99 from Boots

NYX High Definition Blush- I love blush and my favourite from the drugstore is by the brand NYX, which you can get in Boots. These blushes have really good pigmentation and there is also a huge shade range; to start off with I would choose a light pink/peach colour so it looks natural.
This is £5.50 from Boots

Collection Highlight & Sculpt Contour Kit- This isn't something you need straight away because I only recently starting getting into contour and I have been wearing makeup for a while now. This contour kit is really good because the product is surprisingly good and there is a guide on the back which I find very handy.
This is £4.19 from Boots

Rimmel London Brow This Way Brow Styling Gel- This is a good product to have when starting out with makeup because all you have to do is brush the spoolie through your eyebrows to set them in place and then you don't have to worry about them for the rest of the day. You could also use clear mascara to do this.
This is £3.99 from Boots.

Maybelline 24HR Colour Tattoo in On & On Bronze- This eyeshadow base is one loads of YouTubers rave about and I would recommend it because you can just wear this on your eyelids. Or you can do more complex eyeshadow looks with an eyeshadow palette, which I'm going to talk about next.
This is £4.99 from Boots

Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 1- This eyeshadow palette is a dupe for the very famous but expensive Urban Decay Naked palette. This palette has all neutral shades, some matte and some shimmery, and you can make so many looks from this palette which I always use.
This is £4 from Superdrug

Essence All Eyes On Me Waterproof Mascara- Mascara is one of my favourite makeup products and I have a lot of drugstore ones but my favourite is this one from Essence because it really lengthens and separates your lashes and because it's waterproof, it's lasts all day.
This is £2 from Wilko

NYX Butter Glosses- I usually don't like lip glosses but I do really like these ones by NYX. Firstly they're not buttery which is a good thing and secondly they're not that annoying when your wearing them. Yes you will need to reapply during the day but I think you have to do that with every gloss.
This is £5.50 from Boots.

Vaseline Lip Therapy- Everyone knows and love Vaseline but I would recommend you keep a tin in your makeup bag because I find it great to use before applying my lip product, especially when my lips are a bit chapped and aren't feeling that nice. I prefer the cocoa butter flavour but I know their are others.
This is £1.95 from Boots

Maybelline Baby Lips- These lip balms are really good for hydrating the lips but also giving colour to the lips (not all have colour). My favourite lip balms are from eos but I'm not sure if you would consider them drugstore and these are cheaper and great for the price. I really like Pink Punch, Cherry Me and the Watermelon one.
This is £2.99 from Superdrug

Collection Lasting Colour Lipsticks- What a surprise that I included these! If you've read my blog for quite a while you would know that I love these lipsticks and I would recommend them for your first lipsticks because there's a range of shades in either matte or normal and they last for ages.
These are £2.99 from Superdrug.

So that's what I would recommend for anyone who is starting out with makeup. Don't get everything at once but you could gradually build up your collection and see what products you like and don't like and that's what I'm still doing.

Lush Favourites

A lot of people only talk about Lush when they have collections out (Christmas, Easter etc.) but never in between so I thought I would do a blog post with my favourite five bath bombs/bubble bars which you can buy anytime of the year.

The Experimenter Bath Bomb- This was the first Lush product that I called a favourite and ever since I've always loved it. I prefer the bath bombs that give off a lot of colour and this one does just that; this bath bomb makes your bath all blue, white, pink and a bit of yellow and it's really pretty. This bath bomb is very sweet but has a comforting scent as it has vanilla and tonka extract in. This bath bomb is £4.25 and it is one of the more expensive bath bombs but it is really good and big so I would happily pay that price.

Milky Bath Bubble Bar- This is a bubble bar that I don't really hear many people talk about, which is a shame because I really like it. It's very simple as it only makes bubbles when you crumble it under running water but it makes so many bubbles and I love that! The scent is very refreshing and relaxing so this is good for pamper evenings. Key scents in this bubble bar are soya milk powder, cocoa butter, orange oil and patchouli oil. This bubble bar is £3.75, the average price for a Lush bath product.

Think Pink Bath Bomb- This bath bomb is a lot more simple than The Experimenter and even though I love colourful baths, sometimes when I'm having a Pamper Evening I don't want too much colour and this one makes your bath water pink with hearts in. This bath bomb is sweetly scented but very calming and that's down to tonka absolute, vanilla, neroli oil and lavender. This bath bomb is on the cheaper side at £2.75 but it's still really good and smells amazing.
The Comforter Bubble Bar- I know that this bubble bar is a lot of peoples favourite and it is one of mine. This bubble bar makes the water purple and it makes so many bubbles; you're supposed to break off a bit each time but I use the whole thing and that makes a lot of bubbles. This scent is blackcurrant because it has cassis absolute and cypress oil. This bubble bar is £4.95, which is one of the most expensive but it is worth it because you can get a lot of bubble out of it.

Intergalactic Bath Bomb- This bath bomb is very similar to The Experimenter because it gives a lot of colours and that's why I think I love it. This bath bomb makes your water mainly dark blue but it also does give colour of pink, green and yellow, which makes the bath really pretty. This bath bomb has peppermint oil, grapefruit oil, vetivert oil and cedarwood oil inside which makes the bath bomb have a lovely scent and this scent even makes my room smell. This bath bomb is £4.25, which is expensive but I do love it.

So they are my favourite products from Lush. Let me know in the comments below what your favourite products from Lush as everyone has different and maybe I can try some that I've never tried before.

School Morning Routine | 2017

A couple of blog posts ago I did an After School Routine so to go along with that I thought I should do a School Morning Routine. If you want to see a normal morning and evening routine, let me know in the comments below because I would love to do them.

Firstly I will wake up at 6:15 and yes I know that's early but I like to take my time in the morning and I would be stressing and everything would go wrong so I like to get up early. I will then go downstairs to have breakfast which is usually cereal and after enjoying that I will venture back upstairs.

Once I'm upstairs I will get out my school uniform and head into the bathroom to get ready for the day so I will have a quick shower and get dressed. After getting some water, I will turn on my laptop and blog for around 20 minutes; I do this because I find it kicks starts my motivation and productivity, so that's good for school.

After blogging I will put on my makeup and if you would like to see what I do for my makeup read my School Morning Routine. Whilst I'm doing my makeup I'm usually on Twitter or YouTube but that's what websites I'm on most of the time.

I will then sort out my hair and I never really do anything fancy for school so I just brush it until it is somewhat straight. I really like my hairbrush, it's from Primark and it's really pretty. After sorting out my hair I will just be on my phone or laptop just checking social media and just relaxing before school.

When it's time to leave for school I will put on my blazer and coat, spray and put my lunch into my school bag (which I made the night before). I will leave my house at around 8am and I walk to school and it takes me about 20 minutes to walk to school.

So after that I'm in school and that is the end of my school morning routine! In the post I was talking about blogging in the morning well I'm actually wrote this blog post during my school morning routine, which is really good and ironic!

February Favourites | 2017

As we are now in March (seriously how?!?) it's time for me to share with you my favourites from last month. This month I found it easy to think of fashion and beauty favourites but I found it hard to think of lifestyle favourites so I have decided to include more music favourites as my lifestyle faves are pretty much the same as last month.

Black Minimalist Backpack- This month I decided to get a bigger backpack because my small ones were too small so I got this one from New Look. It's really nice and it goes with all outfits. It also looks really cute and is so much more handy than carrying around a handbag on your arms.

Wine Red Off The Shoulder Jumper- Over the last two months or so I have been loving off the shoulder so earlier this month I picked up this wine red jumper and I love it so much. It's really comfy and I love the colour as it's so beautiful. This is from Primark and was £6 which is a bargain.

Ivy Park T-Shirt- This has been one of my favourite tops to wear because I love the material of it and I know some people don't like branded stuff but I kinda do sometimes so I really like this top and it looks really nice with jeans. This was from Topshop and was £16 which is expensive but it is good quailty.

Real Techniques Brushes- Over the last couple of months I have been buying the Real Techniques brushes and they are so good and I can't believe I hadn't bought them before. They're really soft and they apply makeup so nicely. I think my favourite is the foundation brush as it really blends in my foundation.

NYX Butter Glosses- Now I have quite a few of these in my collection and I really like them. They have a really, creamy formula and they look gorgeous on the lips. There is also a huge shade range which means you can get pinks, red, nudes, purples depending on whatever you prefer.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation- I picked this foundation up because I had tried loads of other Rimmel foundations and they were all good so I bought this one. This one is really good and it is high coverage which is good because I need my foundation to cover my dark under eye circles as well as concealer.

Drawers- These drawers hold my makeup collection, other beauty bits and also school stuff and they have made my room look so much more cleaner and I wonder why I never got drawers sooner. They're from Amazon and were around £20 but the shipping was about £8 which is really good.

YouTube- In the past month I have been watching a lot of YouTube and I have definitely preferred it to TV or even Netflix as I haven't found anything that I've really wanted to watch. I have been watching a range of YouTubers and even TV shows on there so I don't actually have a particular channel that's been a favourite.

Favourite Songs- This month I have chosen two songs because I couldn't think of another lifestyle favourite. My favourite songs have been Castle On The Hill by Ed Sheeran (I do like Shape Of You but I prefer Castle On The Hill) and September Song by JP Cooper. These are the songs I have been listening to and singing along to the most.

They have been my favourites from the month of February. I am actually in shock with how quickly this month has gone and before we know it, it will be Christmas again which is such a scary thought!
