Drugstore Faves

If you've been reading my blog for quite a while you would know that I'm a huge fan of drugstore makeup so obviously that means I have my favourite products and that's exactly what I'm going to share with you today.

Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation- I recently picked up this foundation in Boots because I needed a new one and I didn't expect to love it as much as I do. It's very light on the skin and I do forget I'm wearing it, which is a good thing. It also matches my skin really well and it's easy to blend and overall it's an amazing foundation.

Rimmel London Clear Complexion Powder- While on the topic of Rimmel I also recently picked up a new powder (this time in Tesco, not Boots) and I defiantly prefer it to the Stay Matte powder. I don't really know what to say about a powder but this powder isn't cakey and looks and sets my foundation and concealer really well

Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palettes- I now have two of these palettes and I would really recommend them; my favourite blush is MAC and that's way better but these are amazing for £6. They're so pigmented and there some real;y pretty colours and it's a good way of trying out colours if your getting into makeup.

Collection Lasting Colour Lipsticks- What a surprise that I'm talking about these!  You probably know by now that these lipsticks are my favourite as I talk about them all the time and I've done a lot of reviews on them but the formula is amazing (especially the matte ones) and they look so nice.

MUA Eyeshadow Palette in Undressed- Sadly I can't take a picture of this as I had to chuck mine away as it smashed (RIP) but I did really like this eyeshadow palette. You get 12 shades for £4 and they were so easy to blend and create looks with. They were also really pigmented and this is an amazing dupe for the Naked palette (even though I've never tried it)
Barry M Nail Paints- These are my favourite nail polishes and you would've seen them in my recent nail polish collection blog post. They last for a long time and the colour selection is amazing and it's my go to stand in the drugstore to get my nail polishes from and they're also really affordable, which is a definite bonus in my eyes.

Zoella Beauty- I wanted to include some other beauty products and I actually like Zoella Beauty. Some products aren't that good (like the lip balm which is really bad) but there are some good products such as the makeup bags, body mists and shower gels. It's definitely hit or miss but there are good products.

So they're all my current drugstore favourites and I'll probably do an updated one in a couple of months as I'm sure I'll find some products that I really like. Let me know in the comments below what your favourite product from the drugstore is.

School Makeup Routine | January 2017

When I go to school I wear different makeup to what I would wear when I'm not at school so I thought I would share my school makeup routine. I also have a few new makeup products that I picked up recently to share with you and I'll included my opinions on the products when I get to them.

So firstly I start with foundation and the foundation I'm currently using is the Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation and I recently picked it up from Boots and I love it. It's perfect for school because it's quite natural and it gives a low-medium coverage which is what I want for school. What I do is pump some onto my blending sponge, dab it onto my face and then blend it in with a foundation brush and if I have to go back in with the blending sponge; yes I know that's a weird way to apply and blend in foundation.

Then for concealer I will use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and use that for my under eye circles and also any spots. I've had this forever and I'm using it up as I don't think it's that good as it doesn't last and it's all gone by midday so I'm waiting to use my Rimmel concealer. I apply this by using a concealer brush then going in with my blending sponge.

I will then powder my face using the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder and I do like this powder but I want to try some others to see what ones I really like. I apply using a powder brush from Studio London.

The last product from the face category is blush and my new favourite blush is from MAC and is the MAC Powder Blush in Fleur Power. It's such a lovely colour and looks really natural and it lasts all day, something which my Makeup Revolution blushes didn't do. I apply this using a Studio London brush.

I don't do much with my eyes apart from mascara and I'm still using the Maybelline Go Extreme Waterproof Mascara and I didn't really like it at first but I do like it now after wearing it for quite a while. This isn't really that natural so I have to try not to put on too much.

For the lips I don't wear any lip product because I don't want to keep applying it as that's annoying throughout school so I just wear lip balm and at the moment my favourite lip balm is the eos Pomegranate Raspberry Lip Balm and it's really moisturising and it's got a nice scent.

That is my school makeup routine and yes I know I don't wear that much but I like to keep my makeup natural and also who can be bothered in the morning to do winged liner because I know I can't.

Nail Polish Collection

Nail polish isn't something that I talk about much on my blog so that's why today's post is dedicated to it and I'm going to show you my collection. I don't really have that many but I do have quite a few and a few from different brands including Barry M, Models Own, Rimmel London and many more!

Rimmel London
I have two nail polishes from Rimmel and I really like them because they last for a long time and they don't chip that easily which I like. The two that I have are from the Rita Ora collection and I have 860 Bestival Blue (which is a gorgeous blue shade) and also 498 Rain Rain Go Away (which is a nude shade that I currently have on my toes). Rimmel London nail polishes range from £2.99 to £5.99.

Miss Sporty
I have three Miss Sporty Clubbing Colour nail polishes and they're not the best in my collection because they do chip quite easily so they don't last that long; you also need quite a few coats to get an opaque colour. The polishes don't have shade name on them but I have a lilac, pink and a yellow shade. Miss Sporty nail polishes are £1.99.

Barry M
Barry M probably do my favourite nail paints and that's why I probably have the most of them. They don't chip that much and you only need about two coats to get an opaque colour. There are also different formulas such as Matte and Gelly Hi Shine. The shades I have are Espresso (a matte black), Berry Cosmo, Matt White, Rose Hip (a Gelly Hi Shine Pink), Green Berry (Gelly Hi Shine formula), Fondant (Gelly Hi Shine Lilac) and finally Almond (a Gelly Hi Shine formula). Barry M nail paints are around the £3.99 point.

Collection
I really like Collection makeup and there nail polishes don't disappoint. I have two Collection Up To 7 Day Wear Nail polishes and they probably wouldn't last 7 days but they would last around five days, which is good. The two shades I have are Sonic Blue and Lilac Daze and the nail polishes are around £2.99.

Models Own
I received some Models Own nail polishes in a Christmas gift set and I do really like them; there was 4 in the set but I did chuck one away as it got a bit disgusting. Mine are all the HyperGel formula and I really like it and it looks really nice on the nails. The three colours I have are Red Lusture, Purple Glare and Cerise Shine (the other one in the set was a light pink). Models Own nail polishes are £5 and there's lot of different formulas and collections.

PS...
PS... is Primark's own makeup brand and part of that collection is nail polishes and I have two from when I did a blog post reviewing Primark makeup and to be honest I don't really like them because they chip really easily and you need a few coats when applying, even the black. The two shades I have are Baby Doll (light pink) and Twilight (black). The PS... nail polishes are 80p.
Sinful Shine
I only have one nail polish from Sinful Shine and that was because Kylie Jenner had a collection with them in Superdrug and I bought one and also the top coat. I didn't think that this nail polish was very good as it chipped not long after I started wearing it, which was a shame. The shade I have is Miss Chief King Kylie and when I bought it was £3.

MUA
Like with Sinful Shine I only have one nail varnish from MUA and I actually really like it because for £1 it's good quailty for the price. Obviously it did chip but it did go for around 4 days without chipping so if you have 20p extra I would definitely recommend you get one from MUA instead of from Primark. I have the shade Pistachio Ice Cream and MUA polishes are £1.

That's all the nail polishes that I have and I hope you enjoyed seeing all of the ones I have and also seeing a little review on them. Let me know in the comments below what your favourite nail varnish brand is- mine is probably Barry M.

My Pamper Routine | January 2017

I feel like this time of year is perfect for having pamper evenings and I have been having a lot recently because it's the perfect mood for them (and also probably because I've been quite stressed lately). I usually do this once a week and it has become one of my favourite times of the week because I don't have to think about anything.

1. Usually I will start of my pamper evening with putting on my cozy dressing gown (it's from F&F at Tesco but I do want to get a new one) and choosing what products I want to have in my bath and usually that will include some bath soak (or sometimes a bubble bar from Lush) and a bath bomb from Lush

2. I will then start running the bath and putting in my bath soak/bubble bar and whilst the bath is running I will be choosing what products I want to use including what shower gel and scrub.
3. When the bath has finished running I will throw in my bath bomb and wait for it to dissolve (which is always takes a long time!). While waiting I will set up my laptop in a good position so I can watch YouTube or Netflix in the bath and usually my laptop is on the toilet because it's a good way away from the bath.

4. In the bath I will just zone out from life whilst watching whatever I'm watching. I will also wash my body using the Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel and the Soap & Glory Scrub Of Your Life Body Scrub. Sometimes I will wash my hair (but it's not very good) and at the moment I have been using the Alberto Balsam Sunkissed Raspberry Shampoo & Conditioner.

5. After washing I will get out, take my laptop and towel to my room and simply relax whilst continuing watching whatever I've chosen, which on this day was some Vlogmas because I was very behind.
6. If I washed my hair when I'm in the bath I will brush through it with a Tangle Teezer and briefly dry it with my hairdresser but I do leave most of it to air dry as I don't like putting too much heat on it.

7. I will put my pyjamas on afterwards and at the moment I'm wearing these pyjamas from Primark and they're really cosy and not too tight which I like.

8. Lastly to relax I will read a book and at the moment I'm reading Bridget Jones' Diary which I'm really enjoying and I don't like reading in the bath because I'm scared I'm going to drop the book in the bath and ruin it.

So that's everything I usually do on my pamper afternoons/evenings; obviously I don't do this every single time but I will always have a bath and most of the other stuff I will usually do.

What's In My Bag | January 2017

To be completely honest the reason why I'm doing this post is because the post I was going to do didn't work out so that will be coming but not for a while so instead I had to do another post and I chose to do a What's In My Bag as I haven't done one this year (that is obviously a joke because it is the beginning of the year).

My bag is from Topshop and it is the 'Clean Shopper Bag' and I really like it because I can throw everything in there which I like when I'm out. It's also good quailty and it was £26 which is really cheap for Topshop so I'm really happy about it. There's two handles, the ones you use in your hand or the shoulder strap but I just use the handles because the shoulder strap is so long. On the side of my bag I have two pom poms from Superdrug and a tan tassel keyring from Primark.

Purse- My purse is new actually and I got it for my birthday and it is this gold zip around purse from New Look that I got for my birthday. If you know me you know that I only like purses this size because I absolutely hate folding notes so I have big purses.

Mint Coin Purse- Your probably really familiar with this now because it's always in my what's in my bag posts but this is where I keep all my 1p and 2p coins because otherwise they fill up my purse and then my purse is really thick and bulky.

Phone- Obviously when I go out I have my phone so I can call and text and also listen to music and check and update social media. I think this is my first post with my new phone which is a rose gold Samsung Galaxy A3.

Earphones- Like I mentioned I like to listen to music when I'm out and about and to do that I use my earphones as I don't think anyone would want to listen to my music. I just have the Samsung earphones that came with my phone.

Zip Card- This is in every What's In My Bag post and if I didn't have it I wouldn't be able to use any public transport so I keep this in my bag at all times and to keep it safe I keep it in a card holder which I got from Paperchase and it's very cute.

Random shit- I didn't realise until making this post that I had so much random junk in the bottom of my bag and I completely didn't mean to have all this. I have some random receipts, some McDonalds dips and a McDonalds straw but don't worry I've thrown all the receipts and the straw away.

Gum- A lot of times when I go out I eat and so I don't have bad breath for the rest of the day I keep a pot of Wrigley's Extra Peppermint Gum that has 60 pieces in so that I always have gum and I hate having the small packs as they always run out.

Tangle Teezer- My hair is so annoying and it's even more annoying when there's wind (which is most of the time) so to try and keep it looking alright I keep my tangle teezer in my bag so I can brush it and it's small so it's better than an actual hairbrush.

Body Mist- Throughout the day I like to top up my scent because no one wants to smell so I take the one I'm wearing that day in my bag and today I was wearing Pink Warm & Cozy and because I had the miniature I took that instead of my actual 250ml bottle.

Water Bottle- This is something I started to do recently and that was keeping a water bottle in my bag because I want to start drinking more water and it's good to have if I'm not near any shops or if I need a drink and don't want to get a diet coke or a high calorie drink from a coffee shop.
Makeup Bag- I keep a makeup bag that I got from Superdrug in here and this keeps all of my beauty essentials that I might need throughout the day and these are all in case of an emergency because you never know when you might need one of these things. Inside I have:
-PS... Love This Tissues x10
-(A broken) PS... Blusher/Powder Brush
-Collection Pressed Powder in 18 Ivory
-MUA Mega Volume Mascara in Black/Brown
-Tribal Mirror from Primark
-Dove Go Fresh Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena Scent 35ml
-MUA Lipstick in Shade 13 (Red)
-Superdrug Hand & Nail Cream
-Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 15 Taffeta Bloom (Nude)

That's everything that's in my bag and I hope you enjoyed this post because I do really enjoy writing What's In My Bag posts. Let me know in the comments below what posts you want to see from me in the comments below!

Everyday Makeup Routine | January 2017

Today I'm back with a new post and it's going to be an everyday makeup routine because I don't normally do tutorials but I do want to start doing some more in 2017 and to start off it's good to show you what I wear on a regular basis. I don't also wear all of this to school and if you want a School Makeup Look let me know in the comments below.

Firstly starting off with face makeup and my first step is foundation. The foundation I'm using at the moment is the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Anti-Fatigue Foundation in 103 True Ivory and I have done a review on that so go and have a read if you haven't already. After blending that in with my Beauty Blender and a foundation brush I go onto concealer and I'm using the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 3 Warm Medium; I do like this concealer but it doesn't last all day, even with powder. I will then set my foundation and concealer with the Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder in 001 Transparent and I really like it. Moving onto blush I will use the Makeup Revolution London Ultra Blush Palette in Sugar & Spice and everyday I wear a different shade depending on what mood I'm in. After blusher it's bronzer and I use the Collection Bronze Glow Mosaic Powder in 2 Radiant and this is for a little shine.

At the moment I'm not using any eyeshadow because my eyeshadow palette smashed and I'm not too keen on the other ones in my collection so I need to get a new one. Anyway I use the Rimmel London Brow This Way Brow Styling Gel in 004 Clear just to set my eyebrows and on my eyelashes I use the Maybelline New York The Colossal Go Extreme Waterproof Mascara and this isn't really that natural but I like bold lashes.

Lastly we have lips. I moisturise them using the Vaseline Lip Therapy in Cocoa Butter and I usually do this before I start my makeup but I do forget sometimes. For colour on my lips I might wear the Collection Moisturising Lip Butter in Paper Rose and I wear this because it's natural while also moisturising the lips.

That's my everyday makeup routine and as I mentioned at the start of this blog post I don't wear all of this makeup to school so if you want a school makeup routine let me know in the comments below.

School Emergency Kit

In my school bag I like to keep a little emergency kit with some beauty products inside that I might need and I do actually use the products inside on a regular basis so it's good to keep them in my school bag.

The bag that I use for my emergency kit is this Zoella Beauty cosmetic/coin purse and I really like using it because it fits in my bag nicely and it's not too bulky and you can also see through it, which is handy for in a rush. This is £6 from Superdrug but I'm not sure if you can get it anymore.
Cath Kidston Provence Rose and Peony Hand Cream 30ml- I get quite dry hands so I like to keep a hand cream and I really like this one because it's a nice size to fit in the cosmetic purse but I also really like the scent, which obviously is quite important.

Carex Strawberry Laces Hand Gel- Schools aren't the most hygienic place so I like to keep some hand sanitzier. I also go for the Carex fun scents one because they make my hands smell nicer and the Carex ones are also good quailty and make your hands feel a lot nicer.

Polos- In my lunch I always have crisps and that means sometimes I have smelly ones so to avoid smelly breath I keep a pack of Polos and I have one after lunch. I prefer having these to gum because I'm not really a gum fan as it looses it's flavour and you have to find somewhere to spit it out.

Apple Burst Tic Tacs- As well as having Polos I like to have some TicTacs and usually I go for the apple flavour ones because they're my favourite and sometimes I don't want to have minty breath so I'll have apple breath instead.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me- I do keep a lip balm in my blazer (we will go onto that later) but I keep this one in the cosmetic purse for when I want colour if I look a bit dead, which is all the time at school because it's school. This is a really nice lip balm and I really like the Baby Lips from Maybelline.

Hairbands- I usually keep a hairband on my wrist for PE but sometimes on a Monday morning I do forget so it's good to keep a couple in my emergency kit because I don't want to be using an elastic band.

Female Things- Obviously not much to say about these but I keep them in my school bag in a secure section because I don't want people to see them when I get my emergency kit out. I also didn't picture these because I thought it was a bit weird and you know what they are.
Victoria's Secret Strawberry & Champagne Body Mist 250ml- I always take the body mist that I'm wearing that day and the day I was making this blog post I was wearing Strawberry & Champagne which I got in Superdrug for only £7.50.

Soft & Gentle Wild Rose & Vanilla Antiperspirant 75ml- This is important to have in my bag especially for after PE. I know you can get smaller ones because I have a smaller one in my handbag but I like to have a slightly bigger one as I use this every week, sometimes twice a week, depending on when I have PE.

eos Blueberry Acai Lip Balm- In my blazer pocket I always keep an eos and the one I was using this day was the Blueberry Acai one which is one of my favourites. I love eos because they really do moisture the lips while giving a flavour.
Glittery Mirror from Primark- I also like to keep a mirror in my blazer pocket just to check my makeup hasn't rubbed or just to check if there's nothing on my face because that is embarrassing.

Pack of 10 Tissues- Also in my blazer pocket I keep a small packet of tissues which I got in a multipack from Primark and you never know when you or someone might need a tissue so I like to come prepared.

That's everything that I take to school in case of an emergency and you never know when you might need something so I think it's better to come prepared because you'll be so angry with yourself if you forget to bring something.
