Autumn Essentials | 2016

During every season of the year we all have our essentials and today I'm going to be sharing my must-haves during Autumn. There's a lot of fashion and lifestyle things but not a lot of beauty because I keep my makeup the same pretty much all year round and just change my lip colour.

Parka- I wear my parka coat a lot in the winter, especially to school, and I couldn't live without it on them cold mornings. My parka is from Next and actually has another coat underneath it for added warmth and you could take it out but I like to keep it in.

Leather Jacket- I've said this before that I wear my leather jacket all year round but I do wear it a lot in the autumn as sometimes it's a bit chilly but not cold enough to wear my parka as otherwise I'd be boiling.

Snoods- Snoods are my thing! I've worn snoods for the last couple of autumn/winters and they really make an outfit and I do like scarfs but snoods are a lot better as they're already together.

Leggings- You all know about how much I rave about the Primark black leggings but I wanted to include them again (no I'm not being sponsored) because I wear them a lot and they're good to wear underneath skirts instead of tights.

Dark Lipstick- Like a lot of people into beauty I do change up my lip colour when it's autumn to darker pinks and purples. I like to do this because I like my lip colour reflecting on the season (so Christmas it will be red)

Cosy Socks- Do you ever know the feeling when you're in bed and then your feet are cold? That's what I use my cosy socks for. I really want to get some more because I wore them a lot last year so I'll probably wear them a lot this year too.

Some other essentials which aren't pictured-
Lush Bath Bombs & Bubble Bars- I love having baths in the autumn time and having pamper evenings and my favourite way to have one is using a Lush bath bomb/bubble bar and their Christmas collection is the best.

TV Show- Everyone needs a TV show to watch in the evenings and I don't watch that much TV (although I'll watch TV shows on Netflix) but autumn is when all the good shows come out and I love sitting on the sofa of an evening watching the telly.

Chocolate- To go with my last point, when watching the telly I have to eat some chocolate. Okay I do do this any time of the year but I love doing it in autumn as it's the perfect season (along with early winter) to eat rubbish.

Good Handbag- Obviously you need a handbag any time of the year but in autumn I like to have a black handbag with gold hardware (if I can find one). I also like to wear my bag on my shoulder in autumn which is really weird so I always get a bag with a shoulder strap.

That's everything I like to have with me during the autumn months. If you would like me to do seasonal essentials I can and if there's any autumn/Christmas posts you would like to read let me know in the comments below.

How To Style An Outfit In Autumn

I love autumn and the fashion it produces so I wanted to do a guide on how to style an outfit in autumn because it can be hard to find a cute outfit especially if you're wearing a massive coat but there's still ways you can be ultra stylish.

Last year I started wearing leather jackets over my jumpers for added warmth and it looked super cute at the same time. It's also a good reason to show off any cute jumpers you might have so people can see them and they're not stuck behind a coat. I wouldn't wear my leather jacket how it's in the picture as I would properly wear it.

No one wants to have cold feet but sometimes it's not appropriate (and comfortable) to wear cosy socks so that's why wear them with boots and have them sticking up onto your leggings and tights and it looks so cute and really Tumblr.

Hat's can really make an outfit and shops now have some really cute winter hats that will give you that super cute look and also like the girls on Tumblr (as you can tell I do get a lot of my autumn fashion inspiration from Tumblr)

In the autumn I never like to use colourful bags and I like to use black ones because they go with all of the colours that I'm wearing and in the summer I'll be wearing and using colourful bags so it's nice to go back to plain. I also like to have a shoulder strap on my bag in autumn as I find it easier to use that way.

This would be an ideal outfit for me in the autumn as I love wearing skater skirts with tights, boots and jumpers. If I was wearing this I would also add a leather jacket because it would look really nice and I love my leather jacket and I will wear it any occasion I can.

Lastly I would recommend you invest in a good coat that will last you for a couple of years. Last year I got a parka from Next, which was £80, so I'm sure that will last me for quite a while and it's super warm and cosy.

That was how I would personally style an outfit in the autumn months but everyone does have their own fashion tastes so it's whatever floats your boat. Thanks for reading and do come back as I'll have more autumn posts.

How To Spend Halloween Without Trick Or Treating

In my whole 14 (nearly 15!) years of life I have never gone trick or treating so I thought I would do a guide on how to spend Halloween without trick or treating so you still get to be part of the fun Halloween has to offer.

Source
1. Invite your friends over for a night in and even if you're not planning to go out you can still dress up and you could host a competition for who has the best costume or another idea is having a fashion show as the people/things you dressed up as. Like this group of friends you could all have a theme (like social media) and each dress up as something different.

Source
2. Before all of your guests arrive make a fort out of blankets and make it be really comfy and this will be where you will spend your night (not sleeping though). Make sure you have a TV or laptop or somewhere to watch the scary movies because you need to have a Halloween scary movie marathon.

Source
3. On the subject of scary movies, why don't you tell some scary stories? If you're someone like me who doesn't know any scary stories but you want to be part of telling the stories, read some online before you go and you could either tell the truth or lie that whatever the story is happened to you.

Source
4. Halloween is all about the sweets (well for me it is) so buy a pack of the sweets that they offer at Halloween and supermarkets always have great deals on them so buy a pack and set them up in a bowl. However don't answer the door so trick or treaters don't steal all of your sweets.

Source
5. Halloween baking is something you could do with all of your friends round and have a laugh or you could do it a couple of days before and impress all of your guests when they come round. On the link above there is the link to the Betty Crocker website which has some really cool Halloween baking ideas.

That was my first autumn post of the year! I'm very sorry for starting a bit late it's just that I had some other posts I wanted to get done and after these posts will be Christmas themed posts so get excited for that!
Happy Halloween!

Collective Haul | Victoria's Secret, H&M, Primark + More!

Today I have another Haul from a lot of random shops because I've done a bit of shopping so I wanted to share with you what I got. In this haul there is a lot from Victoria's Secret because it has been my favourite shop recently and I love their fragrance mists so I've gotten quite a few different scents.

Black and Gold Handbag- I've wanted this bag for a long while now and I didn't get it because I thought it was way too big but now I have it I love it and I love having a big bag to chuck everything in.
This was £29.99 from H&M

Clear Cosmetic Organiser- My makeup's never really had a proper place all together so I've been buying a lot of clear makeup organisation (I really like clear so I can see through) and I love how this one has the drawers so it's more organised.
This was £8 from Flying Tiger

Crush Eau De Parfum Rollerball- I've never had a rollerball perfume before but the concept sounded so cool I got one of the Crush fragrance from Victoria's Secret because the scent is really nice and I like to keep this in bag.
This was £10 from Victoria's Secret (was £16)

Nude Cut Out Ballerina Flats- I had a family event to go to and I didn't have any formal shoes because I only wear hi-tops or causal shoes so I needed to get some and I got these ones in Primark because I didn't want heels and I will wear these anytime.
These were £3 from Primark (was £6)

Let's Create Neon Paint 4 Pack- I was going to be doing a DIY notebook and I needed some paint for one of the DIY's but the notebooks haven't come out as planned so I won't be doing that blog post and now I have some random neon paints.
This was £2.50 from Wilko

Victoria's Secret 7ml Fragrance Mists- You might've seen these in my Victoria's Secret body mists collection but I still wanted to haul these as these are handy to have in your bag and I'm just testing out the scents and if I like it I will buy the full size. The scents I got were- Temptation, Exotic, Aqua Kiss & Love Spell
These were £5 each from Victoria's Secret (was £9)

2x Black Leggings- These leggings from Primark are my favourite as they're only £3 each and they do get holes in quite easily so I got 2 new pairs as back-ups because I wear them so much.
These were £3 each from Primark

Hot Pink Hoodie- I used to wear hoodies a lot but I haven't been wearing them recently but I wanted and I wanted to wear them again so when I saw this hot pink one in the Oxford Street flagship store I had to have it because this shade is gorgeous.
This was £7 from Primark

Know You Are Cushion- My bed has so many cushions on but I wanted to buy another one with an inspirational quote because the gold foil writing does match another pillow on my bed.
This was £4 from Primark

Victoria's Secret Pink 75ml Body Mists- Again you would've seen these in my Victoria's Secret body mist collection and I got 3 smaller ones because I didn't need more big ones so I bought mini ones which I will use up quicker.
These were £7 each from Victoria's Secret Pink.

That was everything I have bought recently and I'll probably do more hauls because you know how much I love shopping.

Paperchase Wild Blossom Floral A5 Organiser

Today I'm going to be sharing with you my new planner from Paperchase. These are the original inserts it came with and not the ones I will be using as I will be still using my old A5 set-up from my last A5 which I did a blog post on not too long ago.

This the planner and I love the print so much and because I love the print so much I even bought the backpack with the matching print for my school bag. When I bought this planner it did have 30% off so it was originally £22 but I got it for £15.25. This planner includes an undated diary, meal planner, shopping lists, budget planners, notes and an to-do list pad.

This is what you see when you open the planner. There's no dashboard but I already have one so it doesn't matter. On the left you get 4 card slots which I fit in stickers and it comes with a today to-do list pad and I have a lot of these now but I don't actually use these. On the right is the first divider which is the diary divider.

These are the un-dated diary pages. I'm personally not a fan of undated diaries from Paperchase because they have super small boxes (and I have big handwriting so I can't write much in the box) and they're week on 1 page and I prefer week on 2 pages.

The next divider is meal planner and this is probably the one that I would use because I need to start tracking my meals again.

These are the meal planner pages. On the side you get every day of the week and at the top there's 4 columns- breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. The boxes are quite small so it's not good if you have big handwriting. I'll probably keep these pages in the planner as I do want to track what I eat but I'll fill them out after I've ate.

Next up is the shopping list divider which I probably won't use as I don't really write shopping lists or take my planner out so there's no point writing them down.

These are the shopping lists and I'll probably end up using these as to-do list pages and at the top I'm going to put some washi tape and write to-do over. These are good for to-do's as they have tick boxes and lines (wow Louise!)

Then we come to the Budget Planner divider which I won't be using as I'm not an adult and luckily I don't have to worry about money yet.

These are the budget planner pages and down the side you have 5 sections- Balance, Outlay, Income, Comments and Date and in the middle there's a line separating the sections so you get 2 boxes for each section.

The last section is notes and the section which every planner needs.

I was happy when I saw there was a notes section but was saddened by the notes pages as the pages are squared not lined. I'll probably will end up using these as I don't want to waste paper but squared paper reminds me of school and I don't want to be reminded of school when I'm not there.

That's my new planner. I've already moved into it and I love it. The only problem is the popper is a bit tight and seems like it might come off so I go really gentle because I don't want to break it.

MUA Review

Today I'm going to be reviewing makeup brand MUA, which you can get at Superdrug, because it's really affordable (£1 for a lipstick) and I wanted to see if it was good quailty for the price or not very good.

Products I'm Going To Be Reviewing-
-MUA Eyeshadow Palette- Undressed
-MUA Mega Volume Mascara- Black/Brown
-MUA Mosaic Bronzer Natural Glow- Shade 1
-MUA Lipstick- Shade 13
-MUA Nail Polish- Pistachio Ice Cream

MUA Eyeshadow Palette- Undressed
-Really pretty colours
-Nice pigmentation
-What I have been doing is using Puff as a base (top left) and in the inner corner, then I will use Hazel (2nd from top right) for more colour above Puff and lastly for a bit of fun I have been using Bronze Ore (bottom left).
-Good value for money and a good dupe for the Naked 1 palette which is like £35 more than this
Price- £4

MUA Mega Volume Mascara- Black/Brown
-Nice pretty mascara
-Not volumising at all and it only lengthened my lashes which was disappointing
-Natural mascara so it looks good on no-makeup makeup days
-Not what it says on the packaging
Price- £3

MUA Mosaic Bronzer Natural Glow- Shade 1
-Pretty when swatched
-Can't really see it when on the skin
-Maybe I got the wrong shade and if I got darker you would be able to see it
-Doesn't last all day
-Wouldn't recommend
Price- £3

MUA Lipstick- Shade 13
-Gorgeous red shade
-If you apply it badly you could end up looking like Miranda Sings as it does require lip liner and probably a lip brush
-Really nice and good pigmentation
-I want to try other shades of their lipsticks
Price- £1

MUA Nail Polish- Pistachio Ice Cream
-Cute colour
-Only need 1-2 coats
-Drys quite quickly without any nail polish quick drying spray
-I want to try some of the other shades as they're good quailty for the price
Price- £1

That was my review for MUA products. I love the lipstick, eyeshadow palette and nail polish, I did like the mascara but it didn't do what it says it would do and the bronzer wasn't that good sadly but I do want to try more products from MUA.
