Today I'm going to be sharing makeup which I think is good to have when starting out your makeup collection. Obviously you don't need to go out and buy all of this at once or get the whole kit but these are my favourite products which are cheap but also good quailty aswell and everything is under £10.
So to start off with I would recommend you get a makeup bag. The makeup bag in the thumbnail is from Victoria's Secret and is probably out of your price range but Primark is my favourite place to buy makeup bags. They have a great selection of patterns and shapes of the bag and they only £3-£4, which is a bargain.
Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation- Most young girls start off with a BB cream but I actually went straight to a foundation and if you are going to do the same I would spend a bit more money on a good foundation like this one because the cheap ones aren't very good quailty but this Rimmel one is amazing.
This is £7.99 from Boots
Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer- If you watch a lot of these videos on YouTube you will notice that most YouTubers would recommend the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer but that's actually not that good so I would go for this concealer which is great for under the eyes and also any blemishes.
This is £5.49 from Boots.
Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder- To set your foundation and concealer you will need a powder and a good one to start off with is this Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and this is really simple to use as all you have to do is brush this all over your face and you are done.
This is £3.99 from Boots
NYX High Definition Blush- I love blush and my favourite from the drugstore is by the brand NYX, which you can get in Boots. These blushes have really good pigmentation and there is also a huge shade range; to start off with I would choose a light pink/peach colour so it looks natural.
This is £5.50 from Boots
Collection Highlight & Sculpt Contour Kit- This isn't something you need straight away because I only recently starting getting into contour and I have been wearing makeup for a while now. This contour kit is really good because the product is surprisingly good and there is a guide on the back which I find very handy.
This is £4.19 from Boots
Rimmel London Brow This Way Brow Styling Gel- This is a good product to have when starting out with makeup because all you have to do is brush the spoolie through your eyebrows to set them in place and then you don't have to worry about them for the rest of the day. You could also use clear mascara to do this.
This is £3.99 from Boots.
Maybelline 24HR Colour Tattoo in On & On Bronze- This eyeshadow base is one loads of YouTubers rave about and I would recommend it because you can just wear this on your eyelids. Or you can do more complex eyeshadow looks with an eyeshadow palette, which I'm going to talk about next.
This is £4.99 from Boots
Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 1- This eyeshadow palette is a dupe for the very famous but expensive Urban Decay Naked palette. This palette has all neutral shades, some matte and some shimmery, and you can make so many looks from this palette which I always use.
This is £4 from Superdrug
Essence All Eyes On Me Waterproof Mascara- Mascara is one of my favourite makeup products and I have a lot of drugstore ones but my favourite is this one from Essence because it really lengthens and separates your lashes and because it's waterproof, it's lasts all day.
This is £2 from Wilko
NYX Butter Glosses- I usually don't like lip glosses but I do really like these ones by NYX. Firstly they're not buttery which is a good thing and secondly they're not that annoying when your wearing them. Yes you will need to reapply during the day but I think you have to do that with every gloss.
This is £5.50 from Boots.
Vaseline Lip Therapy- Everyone knows and love Vaseline but I would recommend you keep a tin in your makeup bag because I find it great to use before applying my lip product, especially when my lips are a bit chapped and aren't feeling that nice. I prefer the cocoa butter flavour but I know their are others.
This is £1.95 from Boots
Maybelline Baby Lips- These lip balms are really good for hydrating the lips but also giving colour to the lips (not all have colour). My favourite lip balms are from eos but I'm not sure if you would consider them drugstore and these are cheaper and great for the price. I really like Pink Punch, Cherry Me and the Watermelon one.
This is £2.99 from Superdrug
Collection Lasting Colour Lipsticks- What a surprise that I included these! If you've read my blog for quite a while you would know that I love these lipsticks and I would recommend them for your first lipsticks because there's a range of shades in either matte or normal and they last for ages.
These are £2.99 from Superdrug.
So that's what I would recommend for anyone who is starting out with makeup. Don't get everything at once but you could gradually build up your collection and see what products you like and don't like and that's what I'm still doing.
